Personally I think if you're buying a monitor it's better to choose between the LG and Samsung, which have been dealing with it for quite a long time.

I can recommend you to go for some Asus monitor, for like $200 or a bit more you can get now totally fine monitor with many many capabilities like that 144Hz if you need it and for sure great photo editing skills and all other things like you really wish. Do some search.

You can easily obtain some of the cheapest 27 inch model for that money.... big question remains if you really do want to make it somewhat bigger than it already is, then it is in reality do not work from the start like you wish. How else we can go for that?
