The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has released the list of Singapore public holidays for 2017. Seven of the 11 gazetted public holidays will be a long weekend. Watch this space for Gov.sg's annual vacation guide.
MOM would like to remind employers that employees working on a public holiday are entitled to an extra day’s salary or a mutually agreed time-off under the Employment Act. Employers also have the option of granting managers and executives earning up to a basic salary of S$4,500 time-off-in-lieu for working on a public holiday.
