LEDANG: A petrol kiosk operator near Bukit Gambir has warned other operators and traders to be wary of customers who cheat when purchasing items.
The operator, who declined to be quoted, said his cashier was conned into giving the man who claimed to have received RM1 in change instead of RM50 after he bought petrol worth RM10.
He said the man gave a RM100 note to the cashier to purchase RM10 petrol, and when the cashier returned the balance, the man quickly changed a RM50 note with a RM1 note.
“I have a CCTV recording of the incident and have posted the clip on YouTube to warn other traders,” he said here yesterday.
According to the trader, the YouTube video clip with the title Kes Tipu Di Petrol Station clearly showed how the man, who came with a friend to refill their car, cheated the cashier.
He said he had lodged a police report.
