The king of Morocco ( Mohammed V) in 1940, protecting his Jewish citizens " I am NOT king of only Muslims but king of ALL Moroccans "
When the German army reached within 70km of Alexandria in WWII non Jewish Egyptians started hiding their Jewish neighbors in their attics and basements, in those days 1/4 of Egypt's most prominent people were Jewish
My grandmother who lived in the south of Morocco always told me about the past, they were from wealthy family and she told me that their neighbors were Jews who really took care of her as a girl, she always says they were very good people...peace and love from Morocco![]()
I am Libyan and my grandma told us stories about Jewish Libyans , neighbors friends. They were the richest and owned most of the Gold stores. My great uncle is married to a Libyan Jew, who when her family left for Israel , decided to stay in Libya ( until this day) because she didn’t want to leave it behind. There was no slaughter of Jews.
