In the 5am incident, the 17-year-old suspect is believed to have entered his mother’s bedroom and attacked her before fatally stabbing the 51-year-old woman with a folding knife.

Melaka police chief Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the victim's eldest son, aged 21, heard the commotion and tried to intervene but was also fatally stabbed.

He said the woman’s youngest son, aged 13, also suffered serious injuries after being stabbed by the suspect, but is reported to be in stable condition and is currently receiving treatment at Melaka Hospital.

“The motive appears to be due to feelings of resentment, emotional suppression and psychological stress, no other motive. The mother and brother often scolded the suspect, so the case is considered solved.

“So far, several stab wounds have been found on the victims, including on the neck, waist and back. The bodies have been sent to Melaka Hospital for post-mortem examination,” he said during a press conference at the Melaka Contingent Police Headquarters on Thursday.

Dzulkhairi added that after killing his family members, the suspect, who had purchased the folding knife earlier, attempted to destroy evidence by hiding the weapon in his school bag, which was found outside the house.

He said the suspect also allegedly discarded his blood-stained clothes in nearby bushes and admitted to committing the act during police questioning.

He added that when the police arrived, the suspect was found sitting and staring blankly outside the house, as if unaware of his actions.

According to China Press, the murder, which is believed to have been caused by a robbery, took place at 5am. The victims were 51-year-old primary school teacher Wen Qiuyan (transliteration), and her eldest son, 21-year-old Lin Wenkai (transliteration).

The Chinese daily also reported that Wen is the daughter of a Melaka MCA member.

The incident came to light when Wen’s second son, who had been out all night, returned home to pick up his younger brother for school and stumbled upon Wen and Lin’s bodies.

At around 6am, officers from the Batang Tiga police station arrived at the scene and found Wen’s youngest son lying injured in front of the house.

As for Wen and Liu, they were found inside the house in an unconscious state and covered in blood. Medical officers from the Melaka Hospital later pronounced them dead, reported NST.

news reported that she pressured her son for his studies until he went nuts and started a stabbing spree.

she was a vernacular school teacher, no wonder high intensity competetiveness abd kiasuness. Its do or die ( literally!)

but I don't blame her, a single mother wants the best for her children.

So multiple factors..mum probably shaken from husband passing put hope n pressure on son coz the 3 sons now is her pillar plus she is a teacher.

For son...father passing + mum sudden change + pressure of academics, prolly sibling r/s changed overnite


Saw the old kancil and kia spectra parked outside. Not a well off family maybe. Cukup makan saja. The child is their only hope in the future .

Now so sad for the youngest still in icu, whole family gone just like that..
