Dividen Amanah Saham Didik

Just nak tunjuk ada peningkatan 0.5%. ASB still the best, sasarkan max200k terlebih dahulu.. :D

PNB: Too early to tell Sime's impact on funds

IT IS still too early to say if the Sime Darby Bhd fiasco will affect income distributions for the Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) or the Amanah Saham Wawasan (ASW) 2020 for this year."It's too early to speculate," Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) chief executive officer Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman told a press conference after announcing the income distribution for the Amanah Saham Didik (ASD) in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

On May 13, Sime Darby reported that it had suffered huge losses of some RM1 billion from several energy and utility projects.

However, the conglomerate expects to be profitable for the full year to June 30 2010 and it also has shareholders' equity of about RM21 billion as at March 31. The group is controlled by PNB and its various unit trust funds like ASB and ASW 2020.Hamad Kama Piah explained that PNB, the nation's biggest fund management company, has always practised the safe approach of not paying all of its income at one go in a year.

It will keep a portion for the coming year and this helps smoothen distributions every year and prevent any big swings. On the ASD income distribution, the payout is 6.35 sen per unit for the financial year ending June 30 2010, up 0.05 sen from last year.

"We can actually pay out an income distribution of 9.36 sen, but we are bringing forward 3 sen and keeping it as reserves for next year's income distribution," Hamad Kama Piah said.

The ASD income distribution involved a total payment of RM207.75 million, one-third higher than last year's RM155.59 million.

Hopefully 3 sen tu akan menjadi at least 3.19 sen (3x106.35%) pada tahun depan. So aku expect div asd 2011 adalah atleast 9.54% (6.35+3.19%). Ingat tu..

Last year CEO PNB pun cakap macam tu, 3% in 2009 will be carried forward to 2010, tapi apa pun tak jadi....

Tiap2 tahun dia orang cakap carry forward.

6.6 sen income distribution for Amanah Saham Didik

KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), a wholly-owned unit of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), yesterday announced an income distribution of 6.6 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Didik (ASD) for the financial year ending June 30, 2012.

ASD is a fixed-price equity growth fund aimed at providing investment opportunities that can generate long-term growth and competitive returns to unit holders.

PNB chairman Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said the income distribution was higher than the 6.5 sen per unit paid out in the previous year.

“The income distribution will involve a total payment of RM279.31mil, up 9.9% compared with RM254.1mil paid last year,” he told a press conference.

The income distribution will benefit 358,222 unit holders who collectively own 4.2 billion units in the equity fund.

Ahmad Sarji also said that via prudent investment strategies, the ASD unit trust had generated satisfactory returns despite the challenging investment environment.

“As at June 18, ASD’s gross income fund stood at RM354.26mil, out of which dividend revenue from investments accounted for RM228.58mil or 64.5% of gross income.

Profits from the divestment of shares in investee companies contributed RM76.03mil or 21.65%, while the remaining RM49.65mil accrued from revenue obtained from long-term investment instruments and others, he added. – Bernama
