maybe Acer is not for hardcore.i'm not try to exaggerate but my Acer Aspire 4920G bought last February 2008 still functioning.nothing bad happened even with heavy games.
we should think what we're going to do with the laptop before buying it.kalau aku,netbook nie lebih kpd backup pc je.sesuai utk check email,word processing but nothing more.i don't know how your hard disk screwed up after 2 months but sounds like that thing is definitely not for heavy user. it's not all about the brand.most important thing is the system specs.with only 1.6Ghz Intel Atom processor and Mobile Intel 945G chipset,turning on 24/7 a week you cannot aspect that netbook to run and last forever like normal desktop.
i'm not try to step over OP head,since he's senior member here tapi aku rs org lain patut tahu jenama bukan penentu kualiti sesebuah komputer.sure customer service in Malaysia is sucks but we're complete responsible of what we're going to buy for ourselves.kita ada byk pilihan,Acer,HP,Toshiba,Lenovo blablabla whatever you want just do your research first before buying.itu sepatutnya dikatakan pengguna bijak.
Moral of the story: read the fine prints of the warranty,so xla t'kejut beruk tgk apa yg dia x cover.lpas beli laptop baru,buat backup OS dia.if something's happen blh install balik.
