Where should I start on making an internet business?

My mom and I are debating about where we should start our first ever attempt for an online business. I believe that we should start off on ebay and once we develop some frequent customers then we can branch out to our own separate own business that at least SOME people know about! Please tell me what you think. What should we do?

there are so many int biz in the world.example in msia,most people in here
like to join this biz.some of them make money so fast and no hard working
compare kuno job.as we know when we try to start biz,most importance is money.without money we can't do anything and second is manpower.manpower is a big prob.most younger manpower don't like working with small income.that's why they choose a job where can gets a big income but we can't get that job without any experiance or approved certificate.
now,this biz happen in here.with nothing experiance,without any certificate we can do this job.a good example is mlm or non-mlm biz.
some of them become rich at at this moment like nothing to do.just give a money and try to find one or two friends who want to join that biz.then that biz can run slowly with transformations of that circulations.
