Pagi tadi dpt SMS dari sorang anak GPC yg baru nak mula.
Dia tgh nak register company kat SSM jadi dia buat search
sekali on my company "Axisnet Global Ventures" kat
website SSm tu. Tiba2 keluar result "business termination
letter" kat situ. Terus dia SMS pada saya. Tengah meeting
masa tu. Melompat kita dibuatnya. I excused myself from
the meeting and called my office manager. She checked with
our company secretary. It turned out to be quite a shock.
Bukan satu company je kena tapi 3 of our companies are
affected.

We currently have 16 companies in the group - a few still
under sole-proprietor while the rest are Sdn Bhd . Utk
menyenangkan kerja we put all of our companies under a
company secretary to handle the admin work, licence
renewals, etc. About 4 years ago we changed to a new
company secretary. There were 20+ companies in the group
at that time and we transferred everything to the new
company secretary.

The new company secretary gave us a list and and asked
us to mark down the companies which are not active. We
marked down 3 of them including "Axisnet Global Ventures"
as there were not that many transactions going through
those companies at that time. Our payments for our GPC
activities tak masuk ke mari, they go direct to Bahamas.

Somehow the officer who handled our account at our new
company secretary interpreted "not active" as equal to
"dormant" and therefore did not see the need to renew
the yearly registration for these 3 sole-prop companies
as we already have many Sdn Bhd companies in our account.

So for the last 3 years dia org tak renew registration
utk 3 sole-prop companies ni. Kami ingatkan dia org dah
renew. We used their services so that we don't have to
worry about these things tapi lain pulak yg dia org buat.
Officer tu pun dah tak ada lagi kat situ. He left last
year and somebody new is handling our account.

So we are trying to get back those 3 sole-prop companies.
Kalau dpt balik Alhamdulillah tapi kalau tak dpt balik
kena la register yg baru. Tapi sayang la, sebab rekod
"Axisnet Global Ventures" tu dah lama berbelas tahun.

Moral of the story - I admit it was my fault for not
checking thoroughly. Sometimes when we trust other people
to be professional at their work, we still need to check
from time to time. So I learned my lesson. We try to keep
everything in check tapi kdg2 ada jugak yg kita terlepas
pandang, even for someone like me who has been in
business for many years.

Itu pun nasib baik ada anak GPC yg pointed out the problem.
Kalau tak, sampai hari ni pun kita ingatkan everything is OK.
Inilah antara cubaan nak buat bisnes. But we take it in
our stride and we try to solve the problem. Tengok2 sikit
company registration tu dah expire atau tidak. I learned
my lesson today.

Hehe... saya pun terlupa untuk renew tahun lepas... huhuhu...kena la bayar penalti dekat RM60 kalau tak silap...

PS: nak minta opinion abg. bear kalau nak filter our supplier as you mention.. ask for license, BL apa lagi ye jika kita nak lebih confident that they is not scammer....

Boleh mintak company profile dgn customer list. Dalam customer list tu mintak dia org list out details utk 3 customers je - company name , contact name/position and phone number/skype ID, contact punya email address, produk yg dibeli. Bagitau pada supplier yg kita akan contact 3 customers ni utk verification purposes.

Boleh mintak company profile dgn customer list. Dalam customer list tu mintak dia org list out details utk 3 customers je - company name , contact name/position and phone number/skype ID, contact punya email address, produk yg dibeli. Bagitau pada supplier yg kita akan contact 3 customers ni utk verification purposes.

The reference you need we could give you next week.
Because I on business outside, next week i will back to office, then I will send you the documents you need.

Thanks for the tips, that for the supplier boleh juga andai kita tanya kat buyer as vise versa??

This mean diorang ni as AGENT ... so as you concern just let go or accept??

Ni agent from buyer side. Sepatutnya dia tak boleh ckp " We will open L/Cs through the buying house" . Bukannya company dia yg bukak L/C tu.

Peringatan pada masa hadapan untuk anak-anak GPC cam saya, bila perniagaan dah besar tetap tak boleh lepas tangan apatah lagi utk yg baru nak mula.
