2) kalu shipping diorang follow Incoterms, kalu international banking diorang follow UCP 600 published by ICC.
UCP 600 suggest semua dealing must use L/C, tapi stahu saya L/C tu just general, banyak lagi variances kpda L/C, mcm PA TIDLC(pre advised),TIDLC, CIDLC(confirmed),IDLC,and SLC.
soalan saya, sbagai intermediary, kita deal dgn L/C yg mane? sebab saya ade dengar for commision payment, SLC is preferable to L/C.
3) L/C tu macam mane rupanye? saya x pernah jumpa, adakah supplier akan pos kat kita L/C( or SLC or what ever), lpas tu kita gi kt bank and masuk kan, mcm Cash check, cmtu ke?
sori tnya soalan budak2, saya baru baligh.
Soalan best, saya pun tertunggu2 jawapannya.
Macam yg no. 3 tu, kalau ikut manual gpc L/C tu dokumen antara supplier dgn buyer, cuma dlm nilai L/C tu dah mmg masuk komisyen kita dan komisyen tu akan diberikan melalui wire transfer atau telegraphic transfer ke current acc. kita.
Tapi lagi baik tggu abg bear punya penjelasan. Dah masuk 3 hari dia takde. Pegi mana ni?
1) First of all , there is no Incoterms 2011 yet

On 1 January 2011, the ICC's Incoterms 2010 came into force.
Incoterms (short for International Commercial Terms) are standard contract terms, first published in 1936 by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), to help international business partners regulate the risk, cost and other obligations arising from cross-border trade. Incoterms are not mandatory and are not implied into commercial contracts. They must be agreed by the parties and can be adapted or varied at their discretion.
So people can use either Incoterms 2000 or Incoterms 2010 but it must be stated clearly in the documents to avoid confusion.
Bab Incoterms ni *between Incoterms 2000 dgn Incoterms 2010 ni tak banyak perubahan besar.
Changes from Incoterms 2000 to Incoterms 2010, to sum it up grossly are:
1) Two changes for the FOB incoterm: the seller’s reponsibility extends until the goods are “on board the vessel” rather than “past the ship rail” (a small technical difference), and the seller must package the goods rather than provide the packaging (it’s nice to get this clarified, even though in practice it was usually already the case).
2) Under CIF, the seller is required to pay for more insurance than previously.
3) The DEQ incoterm is replaced by DAT (with a slightly different meaning).
4) The DAF, DES, and DDU incoterms are replaced by DAP.
If you need to receive hard copies (as opposed to electronic versions) of your shipping documents, make this point clear in your contract.

2) Sebagai intermediary/consultant kita tak deal dgn mana2 L/C atau other financial instruments.
Bab2 payment methods ni it is strictly between buyer and seller. They decide which payment method is agreeable to them. Kita tak masuk campur dalam hal ni . Buyer akan hantar L/C direct kepada supplier, not through us. Actually this makes life a lot simpler for us.
The same goes for quotations and product samples, also directly between buyer and seller. Kita tak collect quotations or product sample from supplier and pass them on to the buyer. Itu kerja style agent/broker .
Kerja GPC ni lagi mudah dan simple dari agen/broker sebenarnya. Maybe you are used to the ways/methods used by agents/brokers. Memang la pening kalau ikut style dia org dgn payment terms macam DLC, CIDLC(confirmed),IDLC and SLC, etc. I went through that phase when I was just starting out back in 1996. I prefer to do a simple and practical business with simple terms but get great results .
In GPC talk we prefer to receive "consulting fees" rather than "commissions" . Suppliers are more open and receptive to that term.
3) Contoh L/C ni boleh cari kat Google. Buyer akan hantar L/C direct kepada supplier, not through us.
