i'm loving this place. :D

i can watch sunrise from my room. in the evening i can go to the gym and then the pool and watch sunset.

:"> good for you then...
i bet theres no foreigners at your place...:))

if you ever watched ice road truckers, those truckers in canada actually drove on this ice on the lakes during winter. this "temporary" road provides the shortest path to their destination.

yup... that can be so troublesome... i got it last dec and i still cant figure out what actually caused it... for a month, i used bottled drinking water for my cooking and drinking as i thought my water supply got contaminated... but now i doubt that that was the source... anyway, i hv got rid of all old stuff from my fridge... flushed and cleaned my water tank...#:-S

If the ice is thick, no problem. Even trucks or bulldozers can ride on it. But not when the ice is thin. Usually thick ice happens in the middle of winter, when the temperature has adjusted itself into the season, not the beginning. During the beginning, the cold weather has just started, it's not enough cold to thicken the ice yet. But last January, weather was one of the coldest in the US winter history. I'm not surprise if they could pilot a Boeing 737 on the ice ground. :))

What water bottle are you using? The plastic ones? Be careful, plastic water bottles are not meant to be used on a long period, as they can become toxic due to the plastic material being used. In my case, I found out why. I accidentally ate a lil bit of the expired kuah satay. I thought it was still ok, turned out it was bad already. Luckily it was just a bit. If I had taken more, I think I would have landed in the hospital already. #:-S

P.S Went to the gym last Thursday, made a mistake of joining a hardcore class, and now I can barely move coz my thighs are damn painful. Now i have to rest until my thighs are ok again before going back to the gym. ~X(~X(

yes... plastic bottle... ive finished 2 boxes/dozen already... now im back using the pipe water...

your body is having a 'culture shock'....:))
go for the light weight first...
or better still, consult your instructor...
i believe, a set of light weight exercise with repetition will give you a better result than going straight to the hardcore regime... anyway, it was a long time ago...:D

Instead of using water bottle, why don't you use water compressor? No need to boil or put the drinks inside the fridge. :D I bought like 15 RO 20 Liters bottles last time, now I'm down to 5 bottles left. Gotta restock soon.

Yeah, you see, I made a mistake. I was doing okay on the treadmill, cycling and pedal-cycle, and then I saw the class for the Body something, but I wasn't aware it was for hardcore members. It was so painful, i had to quit half-way thru. So embarassing. #-o I even had to cancel my swimming lesson. Guess it will take several days before i can go to the gym again. My bad. ~X(

i have a water dispenser... it should be similar to that water compressor except the cooling function... my problem is the incoming tap water supply... it smells weird even after you boiled it... the quality is just not there...

when you mentioned abt treadmill, i remember my first time on a stairmaster... the first day of class and the instructor had already programmed the thing... asked us to climb on it and started the ride... not even 30 mins, all my muscle and joints went limb already... and i was very fit at that time... but then, i was okay on the subsequent classes... maybe its just the way our body react to something new...

doesnt means that when we're fit in a certain sport, we would be fit in all sports... when i was in high school, i played basketball and volleyball... i was also a middle distance runner... i can play basketball non-stop for 40 mins or even 1 hour... i can run 'merentas desa' 7 km easily non-stop... but when i switched to football i didnt hv the same endurance... same goes with swimming... it needs a while to tune to it... but that was then... now, even tarik tali also can almost pengsan...:))

When you said the water smells funny, I can't help but to say this, I remember the Singaporean residents in one particular building saying the water tasted weird, and the management went to check. Turned out there's a dead body in the water tank, walauweh. Maybe you should ask somebody to check, just in case... (sorry, can't resist the temptation :">:"> )

I didn't know our body will react differently to different sports.. that's a new one for me. I thought once you're fit enough in any one etreme sports (like marathon), you'll be fit in most sports (because you already have the stamina needed). Perhaps, in your case, it's because you haven't done any heavy sports for quite a long period, therefore, when you suddenly start one, your body will tend to reject it, no?

I mean, that's what happened in my case. I stopped exercising for almost 2 years. Sleep, eat, go to work, watch TV, no exercise, not even a squat here or a jog there, nada, zilch. Then suddenly go for hardcore exercise, of course the muscles will be in a riot. :)) But i read that pain AFTER excercises means it's a good sign for the body. It means it works. If you feel the pain, that means the whole muscles of the body are active and once you're healed, you can go back safely to the gym. You should see this girl who was exercising behind me that day. She was doing pumping! Man, i feel like a twat! I so envied her! #-o#-o

every quarters/house here hv their own hdpe water tank... i hv checked, flushed & cleaned my tank a few weeks ago... theres only dirt/sludge inside there... it is the supply from the water treatment plant thats having problem...

basketball and distance running require endurance... constantly running... football is a type of start stop activity... a burst of speed, then relax a while... then burst again and relax again... swimming needs upper body strength... so, different activity, different strength requirement... based on my experience, thats what i concluded... :))
i totally agree with you on the body pain... some sort like the ice breaker...:))
when talking about all these, now i feel need to exercise again... maybe a simple treadmill would help... hmmmm... hopefully the bonus will come soon...#:-S
