EasyConnect

There are times when we need help from others to solve certain computer problems and in the same way you would like to offer your help to someone who needs help. With Easy Connect in Windows 7, offering help or getting help is just a few clicks away!

To access Easy Connect, type Troubleshooting in the Start Menu and then select Get Help from someone you trust.

You would now get the option to offer your help to someone or get help from someone. Choose the option depending on your need.

Invite Someone
There are two options to choose from if you want to help from others:

Use the Invitation File

Use Easy Connect

You can create an invitation and invite your helper using that invitation or you can use Easy Connect. Easy Connect is the easiest of both which just requires you to create a password which can then be shared with your helper to connect to your machine.

Choosing Easy Connect will start listening for incoming connections and also creates a unique password for your session. You can send this password to your helper. The helper would use this password to connect to your remote session.

You need to save your invitation file if you choose the invitation method and send the invitation file to your helper along with the session password.

Offer help to someone

Choosing to help someone would require you to connect to their remote session using the Easy Connect password or using the invitation file.

As seen before, Easy Connect is the easiest as it just requires only a password!

Once connected, you get the remote session on your screen!

You can now choose to request control or chat and offer your help to your friend.

Increasing Band-Width by 2O%

Did anyone tried editing gpedit.msc and gain 20% increase in band-width, like in browsing, downloading and in up-loading?

here`s the procedure:

CLick RUN then START BUTTON and TYPE; gpedit.msc
This will open the GROUP POLICY EDITOR
Then go to: LOCAL COMPUTER POLICY then COMPUTER CNFIGURATION then ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES then NETWORK then QOS PACKET SCHEDULER and then to LIMIT RESERVABLE BANDWIDTH.
Doble Click the LIMIT RESERVABLE BANDWIDTH.It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab i.e. "By default, the Packet Scheduler Limits the system to 2O% of the BandWidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default."So the TRICK is to ENABLE Reservable BandWidth, then set it to ZERO.
This will alllow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 2O%.

Kalau kita punya lebih dari satu komputer atau notebook padahal pada saat yang sama kita membutuhkan koneksi Internet untuk kedua komputer tersebut, maka Internet Connection Sharing bisa digunakan sebagai solusinya.

Saya memiliki notebook yang dilengkapi dengan broadband wireless dari IM2, selain itu saya memiliki netbook yang juga membutuhkan koneksi Internet, padahal modem broadband yang saya gunakan tidak bisa digunakan untuk netbook tersebut. Saya teringat bahwa Windows memiliki fitur untuk sharing connection sehingga saya tertarik untuk mencoba nya. Setelah browsing dan searching di beberapa sumber saya akhirnya mencoba untuk membuat Internet Connection Sharing dengan Broadband Wireless saya, dan antar notebook saya menggunakan koneksi WiFi sebagai medianya (sebenarnya bisa menggunakan kabel UTP, tapi saya tidak mau menggunakannya karena tidak flexible).

BTW saya pakai Windows Vista di notebook yang akan saya gunakan untuk sharing. Sebagai persiapan, saya set network saya yang menggunakan broadband wireless untuk bisa sharing Internet connection, dengan cara: Start – Control Panel – Network and Sharing Center – Manage Network Connection

Klik kanan pada koneksi broadband wireless (karena saya pakai huawei modem, maka klik di huawei.mobile.connect) – pilih Properties – pilih tab Sharing – cek Allow other network to connect through this computer’s Internet connection – Pilih di bagian “Home networking connection” : Wireless Network Connection.

Bagian pertama selesai, kemudian pada bagian wireless connection, sebelumnya aktifkan Wireless Connection (WiFi) kita dulu, dan jadikan wireless kita sebagai Access Point, sehingga kita harus set wireless kita “Ad Hoc” mode, dengan cara: Masuk ke Control Panel – Network and Sharing Center – pilih Setup a connection or network – pilih Setup Wireless ad-hoc

Masukan Network Name : (misalnya nama komputer nya; “Acer”) dan tentukan apakah kita ingin menggunakan Security Option. Biasanya saya pakai No Authentication (Open) karena hanya dipakai sementara. Kita bisa pilih save network atau biarkan saja. Klik Next dan Selesai. Bagian kedua selesai.

Jika sudah siap, maka kita bisa aktifkan koneksi broadband dan aktifkan ad-hoc wireless kita. Selanjutnya kita set komputer/notebook yang lain untuk bisa terhubung ke notebook yang sudah memiliki koneksi internet tersebut. Kita aktifkan wireless connection di notebook client, pilih wireless network yang sudah ditentukan tadi (misal: Acer), di sana akan ada koneksi Ad-Hoc bernama Acer, kemudian notebook kita sudah bisa akses ke Internet melalui notebook yang terpasang Internet tadi. Secara otomatis ICS akan mengubah IP wireless di notebook induk menjadi 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0 sedangkan notebook client akan menggunakan IP tersebut sebagai alamat nya. Jika kita ingin menggunakan IP yang lain bisa dengan menggunakan setting:
IP = 192.168.0.2

Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0

Gateway : 192.168.0.1

Tapi biasanya saya biarkan IP di wireless saya kosong (obtain IP address automatically).

usually when you run Computer properties you'll see the valid activation code at the bottom.usually to get genuine copy of Windows any computer shop will charge you a certain amount maybe around RM200-RM300 per install.if that guy from the shop didn't say anything about windows 7 original copy well there's a chance yours is pirate copy.i've been experienced this kind of things so many times.broken pc,brought to the shop to repair and when i get home,tones of Microsoft pirates invading my pc.gotta be careful next time make sure you know what they did to your machine when you take it to repair.
