General advises and experiences sharing for forex traders

The main difference between forex trading and stock trading is that stocks are mainly an investment activity where trades are held open for a longer period of time. In forex, traders often engage in short-term trading (scalping or intraday trading), taking profits from small price movements.

Yeah, I’ve actually tried both stocks and Forex, and honestly, they each have their own vibe. Forex feels a bit faster pace you’re basically trading currencies, so it moves a lot quicker, and you can jump in and out pretty often. Stocks, on the other hand, are more long-term for most people you’re buying a piece of a company and hoping it grows over time, though you can still trade them short-term too. I started with Forex because it seemed easier to get into, especially with platforms like HFM (formerly HotForex) that are beginner-friendly and have demo accounts to practice on. If you're curious, I'd recommend starting there just to get a feel of how it all works.

Interesting take! I get the appeal of Forex for beginners, but don’t you think the speed and leverage make it riskier, especially for someone just starting out? Demo accounts are great, but real money trading is a whole different game.

When trading forex, there is always a choice of how much leverage to trade with. That is, it is not the leverage itself that makes forex risky, but the trader himself increases the risks by consciously setting a large leverage in order to be able to earn quickly and a lot. My broker FXOpen has the ability to trade with a maximum leverage of 1:500, but I do not do this, understanding that I will be taking a lot of risk, so I trade with a leverage of 1:50 and do not suffer large losses in unsuccessful transactions, especially when stop losses are used in trading.
leverage is a tool, and how it's used matters. I guess my concern is that beginners often don’t fully understand the risks and end up overexposing themselves before they’ve built the skills or discipline to manage it properly.

Sometimes I got maximal result by using EA but I never depend on this. I always try to depend on my trading knowledge that I have acquired by passing a long time with great patience.

Is paying for signal services worthwhile? I have heard of some users use signal services and some paying for it while there are free ones as well. I have heard of many paying ones as just merely scams from those services who wish to make money from us and give no effective signals. I think way too many signals confused you and some have no accuracy at all. What have you experiences regarding this topic?

I have seen some of the brokers these days offering the copy trading feature. This feature lets you copy the successful trades of the other users. this helps to make some money however not all the time it is going to be successful because the trades are time dependent. So I am not sure how the people these days are using that feature to make money.

Do you think copy trading is good for the newbie traders? if not, have you tried the copy trading feature from any broker? What are some of your experience about the copy trading, please do share it and let us what do you think about the copy trading. What do you suggest instead of copy trading?

depends, like how long has this signal provider been active? how are the results? and if there are other similar providers that are giving out the same signal for free, honestly i do not use paid signals in my hfm trading.. i do use some as reference just to have a clearer picture in comparison to my analysis.

Firstly, such signal services will not teach you anything. You will not know what strategy such a signaler trades on and what analysis he uses, you will only hope that such signals are correct, mindlessly trading on them. Secondly, you are constantly dependent on other people's decisions and opinions. And if such signals disappear, then your earnings will disappear (if they exist at all). Therefore, I advocate personal development in trading so as not to depend on anyone in your earnings. After all, isn't this why we come to Forex???

You are right, the result when trading forex robots can be positive only SOMETIMES. I have never met or heard of robots that consistently earn money, they are only good at short distances. Therefore, it is more profitable and stable for me to trade according to my manual strategy, taking into account also fundamental data that the robot is not able to analyze and apply in trading.
