I know few traders, who are involved with this volatile market since 2017 but till now they are unable to make consistent money from this financial market! They are basically trying to earn money with a low trading skill (that’s my point of view actually)! What’s your suggestion guys?

In addition to low trading skills, many traders lack mental and emotional stability and discipline. Without these, even a good trading strategy is no guarantee of trading success.

If after a full year you still have no written plan, no risk rules, and no equity curve improvement, take a break or quit. I paused three months to rebuild my plan on hfm and only returned after forward testing showed progress

You should stop trading if you've been losing for years without any progress, and you lack the desire to learn and analyze, taking into account your mistakes and losses.

I will exit if my daily loss target is reached. In addition, I must maintain my psychological state and prepare for tomorrow's trading to get a good setup from today's lessons.

When a trader can't control their psycho-emotional state, they constantly try to take revenge on the market at any cost after losses, and they can't stop in time due to their greed and passion. Such a trader is better off stopping trading and finding another occupation.

Many traders stay in the market for years without seeing consistency because time alone doesn’t build skill- deliberate learning does. If someone keeps trading with the same habits, mindset, and weak strategy, the results won’t change. The solution is to step back, study the basics again, focus on risk management, and practice with intention. Consistency comes from structured improvement, not just experience. Sometimes the smartest move is to pause, learn properly, and then return stronger.

after one year with flat equity and no written plan I stopped for three months and rebuilt rules. Came back to trade on hfm with 1 percent risk per trade and weekly journal and finally saw consistency

You should quit if you are using money for rent or food to trade. This market is too risky for essential money. Trading with "scared money" always leads to big losses. Every trader needs a maximum loss amount for the year. Don't let trading ruin your financial life forever.

It's also worth setting a daily loss limit (for example, 1-2% of your deposit), after which you should definitely stop trading for the day. After all, the market isn't going anywhere, and there will still be plenty of opportunities and signals for trading, but your deposit could suffer significantly if you don't stop in time.
