Im already short but GBP pairs are very strong in the GBP favor due to the much better than expected Retail Sales. There are strong pressures (both buying and selling) so make sure your stop-loss is at least about 150pips (and that the 150pips is max. 2% of your equity. If you can't afford that much risk, DO NOT trade this time) :)

yes, thanks!
I short it too early, now G/J have a retracement let me run away.

And next week, it maybe continue up.

I will waiting and seeing...

yes you correct. you have short it too early, right before great news coming in.
this G/J pair is quite hard to trade. first you have to have large margin and able to make a SL for 100pips.
This is true since you can set your TP for 500 pips and it work.
why you need to have large margin? if you very confident this pair will going short. then it suddenly climbing up.
you must able to float your position for several hundreds of negative pips.
normally this pair will return back to position where you open your sell. you just wait and see it will hit your TP. it may take for several days or even weeks.
ths is only my view and its not totally correct.

You can't be correct about something half-random such as the markets :) What you said is a general principle of markets in my eyes - prices go up, down and sideways and those moves have it's "personality" that differs between pairs (and markets). That's why it is always good to start with one pair and get in tune with it. And it's true that GBPJPY is a fast moving pair with grand swings. Wise traders know that risking tiny percentage of an equity and proper position sizing is the key to success - so yes I agree, GBPJPY requires bigger risk capital :)
