Basically the scope of work shall cover but not limited to the following: -
The tasks for the Competent Electrical Engineer shall cover periodical inspections on the integrity of MOPU overall electrical systems. The scope includes: -
-Minimum 10 years experience
-Malaysian nationals only
1.Verification of the following documents to ensure compliance to relevant codes and regulations:
a) Electrical Drawings
b) Electrical systems/equipment operations and maintenance manuals
c) Maintenance log book
d) CMMS work orders
e) Task Risk Analysis related to electrical work permits and equipment
f) Setting for all electrical protective devices
g) To become the competent person endorsing the electrical related maintenance works
2.Verification of:
a) adequacy and suitability of MOPU electricians
b) adequacy and suitability of PPE, tools and equipment to work on electrical equipment
c) switchgear rooms conditions, ensuring compliance to applicable codes and standards
d) storage practices for critical electrical spare parts
3 Random checks on electrical equipment to ensure proper maintenance
4.Develop a program for MOPU electricians to attain necessary JBE competency level.
The program shall include signing off log books by the Competent Engineer.
5.Assist our Client in incident investigations related to electrical systems.
6.Provide our Client with technical support on electrical systems operational related issues.
7. The Competent Electrical Engineer shall conduct an initial visit and advise Our Client, thereafter, a suitable frequency based on the findings from the initial visit.
Deliverables, in the form of a comprehensive service report, shall consist of, but not limited to:
a) Highlights on lapses of electrical systems management onboard Our Client-operated facilities
b) Detailed recommendations to clase gaps. Recommendations to be based on relevant electrical regulations and/or guidelines and/or best practices (IEE/IEEE, BS, NFPA, etc)
c) Clear and concise write up on operational anomalies
d) Practical recommendations including estimated cost for repairs/rectifications.
Recommendations to include work packs for major rectifications
e) Risk analysis indicating exposures to be as low as reasonably practicable
f) General findings
8. Key competency requirements as below: -
a) Degree in Electrical Engineering with ten (10) year experience in performing inspection and maintenance
b) Certified Competent Engineer by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Borang K)
c) Experience in engineering, hookup and commissioning in an advantage
9. Personnel shall be aware of all offshore safety procedures. Personnel shall be provided with adequate safety equipment e.g. coverall, safety helmet, goggles and gloves.
10. Work frequency:
a) Estimate work frequency is every quarter (4 times yearly), with 2 times call-out basis (emergency call). Each time, personnel would be expected to stay at client's location (offshore) for 7 days. The contract is for 2 years.
11.Please quote:
a) Daily offshore rate (12 hrs/day) =
b) Mob/Demob fee = Will be provided by our Client
c) Standby rate per hour (in the event that personnel is required to standby onshore at the embarkation point due to change of boat/chopper schedule)
12. Mobilization would be from Terengganu, ASB (by boat) or Kota Bahru (by chopper).
