Arsenal consider offer for Everton striker Saha

January 12, 2010

Arsenal are considering boosting their attacking options with a bid for Everton's Louis Saha , according to the Daily Mail.

The French striker's demands for a £60,000-a-week deal for three years at Goodison Park have reportedly led to a stalemate in contract negotiations.

The 31 year-old is Everton's top scorer this season with 12 goals, but given his injury record, the club would prefer a shorter deal.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are taking note and given the injury problems suffered by their attackers this season, including Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner , they are willing to offer Saha a two year deal with the option of a year's extension.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recently praised Saha, who has made 18 international appearances, saying "When Saha plays 10 games on the trot you can compare him with any striker."

Saha will become a free agent in the summer and Arsenal boss Wenger may try to bring him to the Emirates Stadium before Liverpool and Tottenham, who have also been monitoring the situation according to the Daily Mail, express an interest in the striker.

Saha..? aku kureng la dgn mamat sorang nih, time dier kt Fulham nampak ok jer, timer transfer MU terus jd Hampeh... Saha ni salah seorang player yg bagus tp jadi mangsa regim kt MU, same lah dgn Berbatov dan Nani... Dari menyerlah terus menyerah...)). Baik ambik Chamakh or Dzenko la, besar dan good header huhuh. Leh main Long cross, nih asyik short cross jer sampai team lawan dah leh baca....#:-S
