Philippe Senderos is going nowhere, says Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger

By Arindam Rej Last updated at 12:10 PM on 09th January 2010
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he does not plan to let Philippe Senderos leave the club.

That stance could hinder Sol Campbell's chances of earning a deal with the title-chasing London side.

Out-of-favour Senderos is believed to want to quit the club, leading to interest from Everton, Blackburn and Bayern Munich.

The Switzerland defender, 24, has only had two outings this season - both in the Carling Cup, which Wenger tends to normally use for young, fringe players.

Wenger prefers to have four centre-backs - so one would have to leave to pave the way for Campbell to join his old employers.

If Wenger signed Campbell, who has been training with the club since his sensational exit from Notts County in September, then the England defender would become the first player that the Frenchman has re-signed during his tenure at the club.

But, discussing Senderos's situation, Wenger said: 'Philippe Senderos is not available at the moment.

He's free at the end of the season. At the moment, he is a player for Arsenal Football Club.'

org dah xnak main kt arsenal..wat pe nk simpan lg..perabihkan boras jo..:(scam

No Behrami offers

Swiss star happy with Hammers

Last updated: 10th January 2010

There are no offers for Valon Behrami to leave West Ham United, his agent has confirmed.

Renewed speculation has claimed that a host of clubs are ready to try and prise the Swiss international from Upton Park.

Reports claimed that Manchester United were ready to bid £10million for the midfielder.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Juventus are also said to be keen - but this has now been denied.

Alessandro Beltrami has told Sky Sports News that no offers are on the table for the former Lazio man and he is more than happy to stay with West Ham.

Arsenal boss Wenger looking for players; Chamakh not immediate target

January 11, 2010

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he is looking to bring new faces to the Emirates, but only if the right opportunities arise.

The Frenchman expressed particular concern over his midfield, with captain Cesc Fabregas and Brazilian Denilson injured and Alex Song away at the African Cup of Nations.

Commenting on Denilson 's injury, the Arsenal boss said, "Denilson is a little bit mysterious at the moment."

Meanwhile Wenger also recognized the impact of Song's absence on his Arsenal team, admitting "I knew before Song left for the African Nations, unfortunately, that he'd be missed."

Despite his midfield concerns, when asked if he would enter the transfer market to strengthen his side, Wenger made clear that he would only add to Arsenal's squad if the right player becomes available.

He said, "I'm looking for players in the transfer window. I said many times I have an open eye on the market and, if the right opportunities come up, we will do something. But at the moment I must say I'm still only looking."

Wenger recently admitted that Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh is not an immediate transfer target for Arsenal. The striker himself has now further hinted that any transfer will have to wait until the summer.

"He is a player we have an interest in, but we are focused on short term at the moment" said the Arsenal manager recently.

Now the Morrocan striker who is available for free in the summer has said that he will make a decision on his destination for next season by the end of the current transfer window, commenting "I'll give my answer by the end of January."
