AAFX Trading - aafxtrading.com

I thought you were a discretional trader. How come you’ve got interested in the algorithmic trading? From what I’ve heard, EA is definitely not the most reliable thing you can use to improve the trading results. A good algo is a rare thing and its rather difficult to learn to develop a good one.

I didn’t use EA with AAFX myself, but I’m 100% sure I’ve read in agreement that the broker does not mind if traders use those. There are a few details though that you have to keep in mind. Fist of all, EA trades do not count for the volumes if you want to get their famous withdrawal bonus. Secondly, even though scalping is formally allowed, technically, all the trades much be closed only 60+ seconds after the entry.

Thanks everyone. I’ve been curious not for my own purpose. A friend of mine wants to change the broker, so I’ve suggested AAFX. Once again, thanx for pointing out the pitfalls. These are very important remarks to consider.
And yeah, I agree, EAs is something all technical-minded people think of when they hear of trading. But it looks like the skill of creating profitable algos is not that easy to obtain. I don’t claim that manual trading is much easier and you can learn it overnight from scratch, EA is a real swamp.

Yeah, swamp is a good analogy. I know some guys who are trying to develop a perfect trading money-making machine using MQL4. It’s been 2 years since they’ve started :) Something doesn’t seem to work out. And I know it’s very difficult to just stop and leave it. The only good point about it is that once you learn to program with MQL4, you can always find a well-paid job at upwork :)

I tried trading SnP index recently with AAFX. What I really don’t get is whether it is at all profitable to short the index EVER? I’m not talking of the long term. I understand the point of a decade-long trend. Yet, I often see the aggressive retracements here but never manage to catch any with the short-enough stop.
Do you guys short the US indices?

Uncle Sam is watching you. Expect the revenge LOL
Seriously, the current situation resembles the Big Short movie. They guy KNEW the markets are ought to crash due to fundamentals, yet, they kept growing and growing further. The same situation is happening now, I guess. Coronavirus and business lockdown? That’s OK! The country is in danger of the civil war II - That’s fine! Let’s test new highs.

I don’t know what to say. I use technical analysis only. SnP hasn’t got much resistances above, as the index is constantly testing new highs. That’s why I don’t short it. If it goes down to $1500-1800, I’ll start considering selling from the newly formed resistances. For now I’m choosing the best stocks out of AAFX arsenal to buy when they do some retracements. Here is why

OMG!!! That bad! Can’t believe it and thanks for sharing indeed. In this light it really makes no sense not only selling the index, but moreover buying it either. Buying FAAANM instead sounds like a better idea.
Nevertheless, I didn’t get the point about selling after the price folds twice. Isn’t it a good chance to buy instead?

That would mean the trend has changed. That simple. I follow the trend and use retracements to find the best buying point currently. If price folds twice as you said, I’d be selling and using the up moves with their resistances to sell following the downtrend. As long as it allows AAFX to send me my monthly profits, I’m fine with the approach :)

the website has a low trust score index and there are complaints about customers not being able to get their money . do due diligence and also see Againstcon .com for restitution consult for affected customers with withdrawal issues
