Kebanyakkan article yang saya ada adalah dalam bahasa inggeris yang mudah. Kalau tak faham....boley tanya balik...don't worry
Many cats vomit occasionally. If a cat vomits once or twice but is still acting normal, has normal stools and quickly (over a few hours) resumes eating and drinking... then I'm not too worried. In this case – I'd recommend watching your cat to ensure that the vomiting does resolve. Watch for any additional signs such as lethargy, diarrhea, weakness, or inappetence.
What else can you do?
Keep your cat inside (if he goes out) so that you can observe for any abnormalities. If your cat is not feeling well, he may not be able to defend himself if a problem arises while out.
Take up your cat's food for 2 hours. If there is no continued vomiting, offer a small amount of fresh food after that time. If your cat eventually eats that, you can offer more.
These are situations in a vomiting cat that cause me concern. A cat that:
Continues to vomit and acts weak
Vomiting that goes on for more than a day without keeping food down
Lethargy with vomiting
Blood in the vomit
Inappetence
Is not drinking
If you see any of these signs, I worry that there is an underlying condition that may be significant and need evaluation by your veterinarian.
Today, I'd like to give you some tips that I think will help your cat be healthy and happy. So what can you do to make your cat happy? Here are some thoughts:
1. A happy cat likes to be with you. Spend time with your cat. Your cat loves you and enjoys your company. They aren't like kids or coworkers that constantly take from you. Cats want you just as you are - they want to be with you. Take a walk, watch a movie or brush him.
2. A happy cat is a healthy cat. Ensure that he is up-to-date on his vaccines and has had a physical examination within the past year. Also, flea and mite control are a must in many areas of the country. A cat with fleas is not a happy cat!
3. A happy cat eats well. Ensure your cat is eating a premium quality cat food. Make sure your cat is eating well and the food is formulated for his age/life stage. Feeding the right food makes a difference. If you don't believe that - go to feedingisbelieving.com and check out these cats before and after photos when being feed a good quality diet.
4. Talk to your cat. Cats like attention and talking to him or her can be therapeutic. Cats feel as though they are getting your attention are connected to you. We often can tell secrets and work out problems that can make use feel better too.
So...enjoy your cat and try to keep him happy and healthy. Feed a good quality food and ensure he is up-to-date on his vaccines and on flea control and/or heartworm prevention. Check with your veterinarian on what is best for your cat based on your area of the country.
