With our proven track record in carrying out the tunnelling and other underground works, MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line, under MMC Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd again has won the single-largest Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) package for the underground works in the upcoming MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line.
We are now seeking for dynamic and results-oriented individuals to apply for the following positions to be based at our underground works site offices.
ASSISTANT TBM OPERATOR (30 positions)
• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering/Technical diploma/vocational training (plumber, carpenter, electrician or relevant certificate of qualification.
• Minimum 2 years TBM tunnel construction experience with at least 1 year experience as Slurry or EPB TBM Operators and preferably in Karstic Limestone or Alluvium geological profile.
• Possess knowledge in handling large-scale tunnelling works and works in civil construction projects.
• Able to operate TBM according to specific parameters and ensure TBM operations are according to specification and SHE requirements.
ASSISTANT ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT (1 position)
• Minimum 5 years supervisory position and relevant experience in tunnelling works.
• Possess knowledge of Herrenknecht TBMs and able to support equipment required for VD TBM operation along with Siemens step 7 PLC skills.
• Knowledge in handling large –scale tunnel plants and M&E works in civil constructions projects.
• Able to lead a team of operation and technical support staff.
• Able to manage daily site related and support the electricians during breakdown conditions where it is necessary to solve more complex problems and faults.
• Able to manage stock control of consumable items and ensure all PAT is carried out routinely on all portable equipment including that brought to site by sub-contractors.
ASSISTANT MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT (5 positions)
• Minimum 7 years experience in tunnelling works on EPB and Slurry TBM machines.
• Experience in assembly and dismantle of TBMs and capable to do planning in the daily operation of TBM mining operation.
• To lead a team of mechanics in the maintenance, trouble shooting and repair works to ensure the machines are always kept in optimum condition for productivity availability.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic, water, slurry and lubrication system of the machines.
• Knowledge and experience with VO/EPB TBMs.
ASSISTANT SHIFT BOSS (18 positions)
• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or relevant certificate or qualification.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in tunnelling works preferably in Karstic Limestone or Alluvium geological profile.
• Possess valid Malaysian Plant & Equipment operator certificates – all terrain forklift, wheel loader, excavator, mobile crane, etc.
• Possess knowledge in handling large-scale tunnelling works.
• Able to lead a team of operation and technical support staff and able to coordinate all aspects of the tunnel construction works to ensure meeting the requirements of the programme, budget, contractual standards, safety standards and government regulations.
• To ensure the proper operating condition of the TBM and the availability of adequate construction materials, equipment and tools in the tunnel.
CUTTER WORKSHOP MECHANIC (8 positions)
• Candidate must possess relevant certificate/qualification or experience preferably in tunnelling works.
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction work.
• Experience in carrying out repair and maintenance of TBM cutter disc.
• Able to use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, seams or fabricated metal products.
• Shall be taking full charge in the operation of the cutter workshop.
• Shall be medically fit for compressed air work at any time fit as the job demands.
• Must have experience to perform inspection on the cutter head and tools fitted and advise the necessary follow up repairs and rectification to be done.
• Able to perform out fitting work including welding and cutting work.
• Familiar with welding operations and safety procedures.
FITTER (10 positions)
• Candidate must possess relevant certificate/qualification or experience preferably in construction or tunnelling works.
• Minimum 1 - 3 years relevant working experience.
• Able to handle general fitting work.
• Able to interpret simple engineering drawing and perform general welding work.
FORKLIFT OPERATOR (3 positions)
• Candidate must possess Malaysian Plant & Equipment Operator certificate.
• Minimum 1 year forklift operating experience and minimum 2 years in construction site experience.
• Experience in TBM Tunnel project is an added advantage.
MECHANIC / SENIOR MECHANIC (90 positions)
• Candidate must possess relevant certificate/qualification or experience preferably in tunnelling works.
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction or tunnelling works.
• Familiar with Plant & TBM mechanical works.
• Able to inspect equipment, troubleshoots and repair equipment where necessary.
MECHANICAL FOREMAN (3 positions)
• Candidate must possess relevant certificate/qualification or experience preferably in tunnelling works.
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience preferably in tunnelling mechanical operations.

• Candidate must possess at least technical diploma, degree or vocational training or relevant certificate of qualification.

• Candidate must hold a competency licence A0 level or above.
• Relevant certificate/qualification or experience preferably in tunnelling works.
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction / tunnelling work.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Familiar with TBM and other plant electrical work.
• Should be able to independently work on the electrical maintenance, installation, testing & rectification of electrical equipment on site and repair all site equipment allowable under the certificate of competence.
• Capable to support a team of electricians and assistant electricians and capable of solving more complex problems and faults.
• Must be willing to register with Suruhanjaya Tenaga as a low voltage chargeman for the particular site

• Candidate must hold a competency certificate PW4 and A1 chargeman or other relevant certificate in electrical from any accredited training facility.
• Minimum 2 years experience in construction / tunnelling work.

• Minimum 2 years working experience.

• Minimum 2- 3 year working experience.
• Have good knowledge in geotechnical engineering and instrumentation.
• Able to carry out geotechnical work in accordance to the technical drawing.
ASSISTANT MANAGER – IQC (1 position)
• Candidate must possess Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in independent quality control inspections in big civil engineering project.
• Possess experience in quality management system or a certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. Experience working with consultant is an added advantage.
• Ability to manage a team of Civil Engineers and inspectors.

Certificate is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience and minimum 2 years of QA/QC experience.
• Able to conduct review, inspection and testing, report registrations and conduct audits.
SAFETY & HEALTH OFFICER (4 positions)
• Candidate must possess at least Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3–5 years working experience in safety and high rise construction building.
• Possess relevant certified competency certificate endorsed by DOSH.
• Possess NEBOSH International Construction Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Must be a registered Safety & Health Officer with JKKP with a valid Green Book.
• Knowledge in Occupational Safety & Health related legislation, regulations & practices.

SENIOR CONTRACTS EXECUTIVE / CONTRACTS EXECUTIVE (2 positions)
• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Quantity Surveying / Building or equivalent.
• For Senior Executive - minimum 7 years & for Executive minimum 3 years of working experience in
Quantity Surveying / Contract Administration /Project Management.

ENVIRONMENT CONTROL SYSTEM (ECS) ENGINEER (1 position)
• Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical/Electrical.
• Minimum 3-8 years working experience as Design Consultant or Air-conditioning contractor. Not supplier.
• Responsible to assist in mechanical design especially Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), Heat Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Environmental Control System (ECS), Smoke Control, Computerised Fluid Dynamic (CFD), Duct, Chiller.
BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BMS) ENGINEER (1 position)
• Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical/Electrical.
• Minimum 3-8 years working experience in Building Management System as Design Consultant or Control System contractor. Not supplier.
• Responsible to assist in Scada, Building Automation System (BAS), Building Management System (BMS), Communication and Control, Security, Public Address System (PA) and CCTV.
M&E PROGRAMMER (1 position)

• Minimum 7 years or more experience in similar construction field (heavy civil works) or previous role as ARE on civil works.
• Previous experience as Site Engineer, working as ARE/RE with Consultants, or as QA/QC Engineer an added advantage.
• Familiar or experience in civil testing laboratory.
• Possess knowledge in soil, concrete, and aggregate testing would be and added advantage.
E&M QA/QC ENGINEER (Electrical & Mechanical) (23 positions)
• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Quality Auditor
Certificate is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience and minimum 2 years of QA/QC experience.
• Able to conduct review, inspection and testing, report registrations and conduct audits.
SAFETY & HEALTH OFFICER (4 positions)
• Candidate must possess at least Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3–5 years working experience in safety and high rise construction building.
• Possess relevant certified competency certificate endorsed by DOSH.
• Possess NEBOSH International Construction Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Must be a registered Safety & Health Officer with JKKP with a valid Green Book.
• Knowledge in Occupational Safety & Health related legislation, regulations & practices.
• Exposed to deep excavation works.
SENIOR CONTRACTS EXECUTIVE / CONTRACTS EXECUTIVE (2 positions)
• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Quantity Surveying / Building or equivalent.
• For Senior Executive - minimum 7 years & for Executive minimum 3 years of working experience in
Quantity Surveying / Contract Administration /Project Management.
• Have contract administration knowledge and ability to draft contractual letters.
ENVIRONMENT CONTROL SYSTEM (ECS) ENGINEER (1 position)
• Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical/Electrical.
• Minimum 3-8 years working experience as Design Consultant or Air-conditioning contractor. Not supplier.
• Responsible to assist in mechanical design especially Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), Heat Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Environmental Control System (ECS), Smoke Control, Computerised Fluid Dynamic (CFD), Duct, Chiller.
BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BMS) ENGINEER (1 position)
• Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical/Electrical.
• Minimum 3-8 years working experience in Building Management System as Design Consultant or Control System contractor. Not supplier.
• Responsible to assist in Scada, Building Automation System (BAS), Building Management System (BMS), Communication and Control, Security, Public Address System (PA) and CCTV.
M&E PROGRAMMER (1 position)
• Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical/Electrical.
• Minimum 3-8 years working experience in programming / M&E construction industries.
• Familiar with P6 Version 8.2, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
LEAD CIVIL ENGINEER (1 position)
• Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in design, cost, sequence, logistics and field installations of M&E systems or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in services relocation for major toll highway.
FIELD COORDINATION ENGINEER (1 position)
• Candidate must possess Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years working experience in structural design, basement, underground or foundation design and construction.
• Excellent in MX / AutoCAD Civil 3D & other alignment design software.
SITE SUPERVISOR (5 positions)
• Diploma / Certificate in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in construction work.
