Trade - Trade.com

I actually do. As I said I already invest with the other firm and I ran into this thread about trade.com for a particular reason.
I want to diversify not only by the assets in my portfolio, but also by funds managers. And I think of portfolio management here. Undecided yet, though.

I need to add smth about the fairness of taking managemtn fees having no profit at all. Of course the market hasn't seen a long-term significant recession for a long while already, so that is not a big concern amoong people new to the markets and investments. Yet. When the trend is down, when recession comes, the primary task of moderate-to-conservative investment models is not to lose as much as the stock market loses at times like that.

True. I didn't really think much about it, but I realized now. People on the forums often say - why invest in portfolios, just buy the index ETF and sleep well. LOL. Index ETF can lose 50% in a few months. That's smth that had already happened before.
Losing 1-3% of the capital is much better than losing 10-30% of the capital or even more. Don't you think? And this is what's management fee is need for. Diversification and rebalancing of the portfolio takes time, takes skills and takes efforts.

Algo systems can also do well on downtrends so that's also another option to consider. I actually like moderately agressive systems that work well in all market conditions historically.

Not my cup of coffee, as I prefer good old diversified long-onlies. Yet, I respect the opinion. I know people that earn with agressive alsgostrategies.

I believe that the technical analysis can also be good and old. There's no need to invent the bicyle. The old ones cycle pretty well LOL

Why even try to compare the uncompareble, People that invest and people that daytrade using the technicals are all deifferent people and they have COMPLETELY different goals.

Absolutely! Yet I see that this thread has gathered all kinds of traders and inestors. I guess that's happened because trade.com offers active CFD trading, DMA accounts and portfolio management as well. So we all have to get along somehow. The question is whether its a good time to invest or not? Speaking of daytrading the time does not matter, yet with portfolio management, that's better to choose the timing carefully.

I've heard investors say that any time is a good time to invest. I diasgree.
Technically the trend is up, but American index is struggling to make each new high. It's an obvious sign of weakness. IMO a significant retracement is near.

The market is making a new high every again and again. This is called an uptrend. What kind of shorting are you guys speaking about at the moment?
