Greetings CariGold members,

I am Gilberto, a fund manager from Mexico (now in NY). I see many discussions here about Forex and Gold, which reminds me of the struggles we face in Latin America.

We share a common enemy: Currency Depreciation.

Today (Dec 16), the markets are quiet. US Yields are at 4.18%. But silence is dangerous.

In Mexico, we learned that saving in cash (Fiat) is a guaranteed way to become poor. The smart money moves into "Real Assets"—things that have a physical "Moat."

Example: The "Bread" StrategyIn Mexico, we have a company called Grupo Bimbo. They own the trucks, the factories, and the energy (solar/wind). When the Peso drops or oil rises, they survive because they own the infrastructure.

For you in Southeast Asia, the lesson is the same. Do not just trade currencies hoping to get lucky. Look for investments that control their own supply chain. Whether it is commodities, real estate, or companies with strong logistics.

Paper money melts. Real systems survive.

Just sharing a perspective from the other side of the world.

I see some panic in the crypto threads today because Bitcoin dropped from $92k down to $90,731. It is easy to get scared when you see red numbers.

But I want to share a trick we use in Mexico to know if the market is actually crashing or just playing games.

Watch the Currency, Not the Coin.

Today, my home currency, the Mexican Peso (USD/MXN), is very stable at 17.98. If the big global banks were really scared of a crash, they would be selling Pesos and buying Dollars. They are not doing that.

Also, Oil (WTI) is calm at $56.36.

What does this mean for you?It means the drop in Crypto today is just "Noise." It is just traders taking profit. The "Signal" from the real economy (Currency and Oil) is that things are stable.

At PORTFOLIX, we teach that you should never sell your long-term assets just because of one day of volatility. If the foundation is strong, the house will stand.

Don't let the noise steal your coins.
