cara nak update firmware (Upgarde By USB):

Buat backup data dari skybox ke pendrive dulu:

1- mula2, cucuk pendrive..pastu gi kat menu - tools - dump by usb - dump mood pilih “misc file” - select & dump , tekan button “OK” kat remote add/tick semua, pastu tekan dump (button kuning kat remote) , tunggu sampai 100% dan ikut arahan….backup data dari skybox ke pendrive selesai.

sebelum loading software baru buat factory reset dulu, dengan kembalikan factory default, (supaya hard disk skybox betul2 kosong dan tak berlaku out of space).

2- menu – tools - factory default - yes .

Start upgrade:

3- menu - tools - upgrade by usb - pilih image file(*.abs) untuk colum upgrade mode, scroll down cari file “DEEP_C2DS2_CMT_1112130641.abs”(atau pilih sw sendiri) untuk colum upgrade file. - tekan start dan ikut arahan. “SIAP”. Skybox akan “auto booth” selepas process upgrade selesai.
Upload kembali semua data skybox yg kita backupkan tadi.
4- menu – tools – upgrade by usb - pilih “misc files” untuk colum upgrade mode - select & upgrade tekan button “OK” kat remote – add/tick semua - tekan upgrade (button kuning kat remote). Tunggu hingga selesai dan ikut arahan.
“SELESAI”

kalau skybox tak auto booth, kita manully offkan dan onkan kembali.

Selesai upgrade kena check “Chip ID” software tu, ini bagi menentukan sama ada skybox anda sesuai atau tidak dengan software baru itu (sama ada clone atau ori).
Caranya:
Menu – tools – information tekan button “OK” kat remote, akan keluar:
MAC : XXXXXXXXX
MACHINE: XXXXXXXXXX
NC: XXXXXXXXX
VERSION: “C2HS2-11-12-130641CMT” (lebih kurang cam ni la number dia).
Pastu tekan no 8 kat remote sebanyak 4 kali atau sampai keluar:
CA CARD: No card.
CHIP ID: 98A1 (contoh).

Amaran:
Jika chip id menunjukan “FFFF” cepat2 hang buat “factory reset/default sebanyak 3 kali atau lebih. Dan jangan upgrade lagi dah. Pastu dump sekali lagi backup data dari pendrive ke skybox.

Extra note:

Openbox/Skybox clone or original: CHiP iD identification metod
To identify if you have a clone or so called original, you have to follow these steps:
1) make backup of your box (USB or RS232)
2) install the firmware from 17-june-2011 or newest (http://www.stbhd.com/attachments/CONM_HDS2_CMT_110617.rar).
(Step#2 tak perlu dah….)
3) go to Menu---> Tool---> Information---> Press "8888" and you will see the CHiP iD.
If your CHiP iD is one from the following list (the list is updated continuously), then you have so called original box. All is fine for you.
4) If your CHiP iD is not in the list, then is a risk that you have a clone box. For safety, you should switch back to your previous version of firmware (or use one before the date of 17-june-2011 since the firmware from 17-june-2011 and after will KiLL YOUR CLONE after 10 reboots.
When you buy a new box , try to view the chip_id_list on this http page. If you can not find the valid "CHIP ID" on the chip_id_list, it means your box is a clone box.

Satcore bagi tu adalah Jalan yang betul....Step by Step...Tinggal Follow je Step tu...Jangan ikut macam saya nie...Tak ikut STEP...Trus Langkah no 3...Tu yg ilang semua tu...Hehehehe......Apa-apahal...Selepas buat UPGRADE version tu...AVi Terus tak leh main...Tapi..MKV saya yang sebelum nie tak boleh...semua dah jadi boleh dah.Saya tak kesah pun tak boleh main avi tu.Sebab Collection kat umah nie byk MKV.So takyah lah buang masa untuk pakai Converter Software.

penah jadi kt aku software clone id..pastu terus blank. openbox on kat decoder tp kt tv itam..terpaksa hantar balik kt seller. pasni kalau jd lg malas nk hantar, nk buat sendiri jer..cume confius kalau dh blank tu mcm mane nk buat yer?
