haha... i am fine, girl... thank you anyway..
i wanted to quit, but i cant...
i guess, this is my sanctuary...
the place that i can find my peace of mind...
be it alone or within a crowd...
out of the storm... into a serenity... a tranquility...
especially now that reality got a lot of distraction...

doing a kampung project... how do you take on that?

reality got a lot of distraction?:-? hmmm... i guess everyone has that.

erm, the kampung project is like a requirement project for medical students. we have to do like a fieldwork in that kampung. some sort of research too, because you have to be very detail about it. first, we identify the problem in the kampung, not necessarily health prob, but also environmental or social prob, which also gives impact to the villagers.

now, we're in the stage of planning for intervention. gonna stay at keluarga angkat for a week next month.

it's quite a challenge though. #:-S going to their houses, doing interviews, asking questions and stuff. some of them are very friendly, but some just so rude. #:-S

maybe it wud help if i tell u recently i bought a red ladies jersey from a seller here. :">

go januzaj! :p

yey missy... finally you sing the glory song...:))
but there wont be any 21st that soon... at least not this season...

hows the freelancing life...
are you focusing on translating alone...
or doing other areas as well...
ive registered to a few but have not gone beyond that yet...
maybe i should start with a small step and see how it goes from there...
how did you get that determination?

hmmmm... some kind of distraction is not welcomed at all...
imagine an elderly superior come to your office begging for your advice over his crush on a much younger colleague who detest him at every angle during your busiest time catching the dateline...
i felt like i wanna puke every time he opened his mouth... at the same time i felt like shouting and shoving a mirror into his face...
by the way, he's 62 and she's 31...:))
and i hv to endure that for almost a week...#:-S

alhamdulillah, i'm still attached to some regular clients so work is going on well.

just translation, not very much into reviewing (editing, proofreading) as i dont have the patience for that plus the pay is not even half of what u get for translation. :p

yeah, u shud start slowly. find some small jobs and build up the reputation and portfolio. when i started, i was paid just around rm20 for a TV episode doing subtitling. now i get rm300 per episode and a client pays me euro5/minute. but to get to this point needs hard work. #:-S the senior translators are getting around rm600/episode for subtitling. imagine that. tsk.

determination? haha. it was just for survival.

im not one of those career minded people or high achievers. i dont need a bungalow with 7 rooms or a penthouse. a small apartment is good enough for me. still driving a viva. my life can be described as stress free. i dont have any commitment, just my car loan. what i earn is just for me and of course for mom. in a way, i think freedom is the real reason for my success. i dont have to prove anything to anyone or earn this or that amount to pay for loans and cards etc. stress free = better quality = more clients.

honestly i think Allah will give us what we want, maybe not everything but what u really want. since i was 15, i made up my mind to be a housewife and earn from home. so, now im earning from home. not yet married but im not complaining. :p

like seriously?>:P

i could imagine that. #:-S have you tell him anything? i mean like telling him to stop bothering you or anything? i mean at least, in a joke way.

It's raining heavily. The sky is dark and there is a thunder and lightning.

soooo... normally, how much time do you spend in a week on this kind of work...
other than translating, would you recommend other areas such as data entry? what about payment... do you use paypal, credit card or just the local bank account...
sorry... many questions to ask...

well.... you are one of a kind... not many would do that... in a way, im kinda agree with you... a car is just a mean of transporting... a home is a shelter... but many would spend more than what is necessary just to say that the can afford all that... anyway... its their money... their choice... someone did say sometime ago.... "i worked to live, not live to work"...
