so, paris is in your future plan?
some say that city is smelly.....:))

reading is part of learning.
and we should never stop learning.
be it specific to our field or just for general knowledge.
i am not one of those so called 'knowledgeable',
i am doing it just for the fun of it.
we may not have the chance to travel all over the world,
but through reading or watching documentaries
we would be able to broaden our horizon.
and not just become a froggy of the shell.

agree. i have to do more reading i guess. but when i see thick medical books and a pile of lecture notes, i have to think about it again. time is pretty limted. :D

naa. i prefer countryside. paris is not in the list. plus, i don't like shopping anyway.:p i prefer enjoying the nature rather than expensive handbags and fancy building.

nobody mention about shopping
and when people talk abt paris
it is more of a couple thing rather than shopping
maybe i am wrong.

but why nature?
are you the type that love the wave and the sunset
or the flower garden or the autumn scene?

OOhh.. I am 40 something, almost 50.. :p
I travel nearby only, cannot afford to go far away.
I like reading because it is the key to new knowledge,
it open up doors to other cultures,
it widen our general knowledge,
and of course make us aware of the current issues around the world.

A lot of people have a very poor general knowledge.
They prefer people to tell them what is going on rather than pick up a book or whatever reading material and figure things out by themselves.
Not that those info are critical or very essential to our life,
there is no harm in knowing a lot of thing.
Just like the other day on TV, the question was which country do you have the city of Lyon and Lille?
I just switch to other channel.

you know what, even some people didn't same wavelength with us does not mean you can't adjust it to be same as them.
owh..what if a lot of people have very high general knowledge, does it too boring to talk the info you already know and

most crucial part,you can't twist the info:D
