if it is ok for you, may i ask some question here...
1) what is actually your friend doing now... i mean, her specific task...
2) how much she earn actually?
3) is she a contractual or a permanent staff? if contractual, is it directly contractual to the company or through a third party?

just wish to understand more....:)

yeah sure. this is according to my undertstanding about what people told me:
1) she is abaper. means she do sap programming.
2) her salary is 2.7 since she work. yes i know its not much. because she only stay there n havent do job hopping yet because she needs to finish the contract. plus hcl is not a high paying company if looking at the market rate. but as far as i know abaper doesnt earn that much because of they dont do the functional thing. meaning they dont have to understand the business process, only do the coding of issue that functional consultant cant solve (customizing that is not there in the stardard template).
3) she is bond with 2 years contract, directly with the company.

anyway am not sure bout the abaper's salary. but as far as i know they dont earn that much (this one am not sure. i might be right or wrong). but there was one guy, when i was in hcl training, he started 3-4 years ago, his salary right now 6+++ already. now he flied to us for a project, i suppose he earn twice that amount. am not sure how much is it exactly but definitely a lot more now. actually that guy was an abaper too, now he is doing functional, i think if he was in functional team he would earn more probably :)

i wish....#:-S
it is a bit different this time...
it is stormy within the organisation...
even the GMD (group managing director) was not spared...
i used to be a hoppers, but promise myself to stay put here when i joined last year...
arrrr... "here i go again on my own"....:)):)):))
maybe i was born a traveler and not meant to domicile anywhere...:">

Well, maybe u were born a traveller.. who knows? Maybe u should try ur hands on something else, something that enables u to travel.. or can travel once in a while.. me, i can never sit for too long in any company, i also don't know why.. my max is 1 year, once i've reached my limit, that's it.. but who knows, maybe someday i'll find a job that i can stay permanently... or maybe i'll work on my own, one of these days.. thing is, no one can judge u for being who u are.. some people like to be static, just working in one place for 25 years.. some people love the adventure, and i guess, i am one of them.. meeting new people, getting new experiences.. and when people ask, 'u'll never achieve anything that way,' my answer is, 'so? end of the day, the only thing that matters in the hereafter, is how good u have been.. ur iman and taqwa.. not ur job, or what u have achieved all those years living on earth..' so i wanna enjoy my life without being tied to normalcy.. i wanna go where my heart and feet bring me.. at least when i'm 7 feet under, there'll be no regret.. i know, i did it my way...

oppsss... just ranting... :p :p

of course i wont pit too much expectation. but i think we can expect something out of from our effort right. and the expectation should be realistic though i have a fren who got a job as sap consultant being as a fresh grad without any significant training or cert, only a training from mdec. it happen just the middle of this year. for my case i joined two training, plus i have a sap cert. so think its realistic to get a higher hope with things i got, if i dont get something as equal as her i just except it. maybe the employers just stu.pid or there is no projects coming in or that girl is just someone having a rare lucky charm that one in a million people would have :">. am a firm believer that everything we work for would fruit something at the end.

anyway, bout that cathy product, apparently it doesnt work for me. #:-S though i spent 120 on all 4 products, feels like a waste, but i think at least i know that the product is not that good. so am still a fan of etude house. i think i ll stick with it forever. but just for a credit, the magic cream cathy does make my skin look more flawless when i put it on. pore shrinked, n my skin look smoother n softer. even i took it off the skin still look better too. the problem is, it does encourage the appearance of the tiny bumps which i hate so much. n there are some ingredients which i dont like, which is paraben, cuz i think paraben does inhibit few bad things for my skin.

so the journey goes on.... #:-S

that's what i said, the expectation should be realistic.. of coz it's not wrong to expect something good out of ur efforts.. but remember, reality has both negative and positive sides.. not just positive.. so always expect the unexpected... be ready and be prepared for the worst.. that way, if the worst really happens, at least u won't feel too down or too stressful/depress, because u are already mentally prepared.. this is the secret of what being tough is about.. the ability to adapt oneself with any coming changes, any situation or surrounding environment... lotsa people feel stressful/depress when they don't get what they expected to get.. confucius once said, 'the reason men are unhappy, is because of their desire...' i'm only sharing my 2 cents advice with u because i've been where u are now.. it really hurts when the one thing that u wanted the most, is the one that u can't get hold of.. the best way to deal with it, is to have faith in God.. he knows what's best for us.. even if he doesn't give us what we wanted the most, have faith.. he's going to give u something better.. u just gotta keep the faith.. :)

p.s have u heard of Beautskin Essence? adira AF has been using it to make her skin fairer than before... i was thinking of trying it, but the price is killing me, so to speak... abt 3.50 per capsule.. and u gotta take it twice daily.. imagine a month? and they say for better result, u gotta take it with SNE capsule.. that's another rm200.. where am i gonna get that money from?? #:-S #:-S

sorry again... what is hcl?#:-S
and before training at hcl, what was your friend's educational background?

and this is my general view on the matter...
starting salary of 2k++ for a fresh graduate in technical field is quite normal...
job hopping is a gamble... if you are moving laterally then its quite meaningless... you must have a bargaining chip to get a good deal or the upper hand...
for any IT related job, a coding knowledge is a plus...

and sometimes i do think to do smtg on my own...
but dont have that big courage to step out of the 'comfort zone' of being a slave forever... :))

ughh...hi all...new here..ty

for my case right now if i got the interview is quite enough for me. anything after that if i anything happen its all up to me not anyone else, and if anything happen its my fault. BUT if there is no call for interview i would view the selection person as stu.pid because there are other people who wont really fit in the criteria still got the job/ interview. of course, on one side, the person who is selected would feel they are lucky (if they are not fit for the job actually), but on the other side, the employer side, i view them as stu.pid because u should want a person that help the organization not the other way around. n frankly said, yes i do regret a lil bit on this kinda situation.

i heard about beutskin. n i heard too that its a good thing. people can see miraculous result. but its so dem pricey. there was one girl, her skin is soo nice and fair and i asked about her secret she said, she is using beutskin + origen fish collagen. both are pricey though :((. guess most (not all) of people with nice skin do have to sacrifice their money on all the beauty regime. beauty comes with the price yeah. i read zizie ezette spend 2,500 a month to keep herself in shape #:-S

hopefully there will be something much2 cheaper for common person like us :(

hcl (full name: hcl axon) is the training provider assign by mdec to train us.

anyway my fren was in IT background. basically abaper would only be selected from those in IT field. but for other area, like functional, everyone can join without prior experience. but of course they would select people that they think can 'handle' the thing, like someone with training or cert.

of course i think people would job hopping when they think the new place is better. higher pay comes with more responsibilities, n lots more thing to learn. :)
