Symptoms
Solutions
1
Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connection does not work properly (yellow exclamation mark appears in Device Manager). Go to the Lenovo support Web site at http://support.lenovo.com/windows-support to download new Bluetooth/Wireless drivers.
2
Airplane hotkey does not work. Go to the Lenovo support Web site at http://support.lenovo.com/windows-support to download and install new Energy Management or Energy Manager software.
3
There is a driver issue, or a yellow exclamation mark appears in Device Manager. Go to the Lenovo support Web site at http://support.lenovo.com/windows-support to download new drivers.
4
The Dolby Home Theater is not displayed in the Control Panel. Go to the Lenovo support Web site at http://support.lenovo.com/windows-support to download new audio driver.
Notes:
After upgrading, the WiDi function of some wireless adapters may be unavailable.
If you upgraded from a retail version of Windows 8/8.1 or if you upgraded directly from Windows 7, disabled or unavailable features may include: multi-touch inputs, PBR, Secure Boot, Lenovo app store, etc.
Other affected functions may include Hotkeys, Brightness function, Windows Key function, etc.
Functional differences between Windows 10 and a previous version of Windows

After upgrading to Windows 10, you may find some features of the previous version of Windows are unavailable on Windows; or some functions do not behave as it did on the previous version of Windows. THESE DIFFERENCES MAY NOT BE ISSUES.

If you're running Windows 8.1 but haven't installed Windows 8.1 Update yet, you won't be able to install Windows 10. Run Windows Update to get Windows 8.1 Update before upgrading to Windows 10. Or you can download an ISO file instead.
If you're running Windows 7 without SP1, you can only upgrade to Windows 10 by downloading an ISO file. If you installed Windows 7 SP1, you can upgrade to Windows 10 by using Windows Update or by downloading an ISO file.
Unreadable characters may appear during upgrading. This is not an issue and unreadable characters will disappear when upgrading is complete.
The hardware performance rating tool, Windows Experience Index (WEI),no longer exists after upgrading.
The user interface, such as the Start screen, will change considerably after upgrading.
Airplane mode, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can be activated at the same time in Windows 10.
The charms bar and swiping from edge gestures are removed and unavailable in Windows 10.
If McAfee is installed on your computer, it will be uninstalled after upgrading. Windows Defender will be turned on automatically and take on functions previously done by McAfee.
Some CPUs may not be supported by Windows 10, including a small number of older, 64-bit CPUs. In addition, computers running a compressed operating system (all computers with 16 GB storage and some with 32 GB storage) cannot be upgraded to Windows 10.
To download and install apps from the Windows Store, you need Internet connection, a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768, and a Microsoft account.
The Windows Store in Windows 10 will have many (but not all) Windows 8.1 apps available. (Apps for Windows 10 will not be available for PCs running Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.) Keep in mind that if you upgraded to Windows 10 then decide to revert to Windows 8.1 or Windows 8, you might have to reinstall your apps from Windows Store.
Cortana is currently only available in English (United States), English (United Kingdom), Chinese (Simplified), German (Germany), French (France), Italian, and Spanish (Spain). To be able to use Cortana, the language version of your Windows 10 must be one of the above mentioned and the country or region must be set correctly.
After upgrading to Windows 10, you won't be able to play DVDs using Windows Media Player.
If you upgrade Windows 8 Pro with Media Center to Windows 10, Windows Media Center will be removed.
Windows RT 8.1 cannot be upgraded to Windows 10.
Note: If you change the language of your operating system during the upgrade, all the previously installed software will be removed. For example, if the language of your operating system is Simplified Chinese and you change it to English during upgrade, upon completion your computer will only contain operating system's built-in tools and apps. You have to install any required or desired software afterwards.
3. Application limitations

Applications that should be uninstalled before upgrading

Due to software compatibility issues, the following applications won't be functional after upgrading to Windows 10.

Pre-installed applications:
McAfee Internet Security, McAfee AntiVirus Plus, Dragon Assistant, Energy Management, Energy Manager, Express Cache, Idealife, Intelligent Touchpad, Intelligent Touchpad 2.0, InstantReset, BootShield, Lenovo MagicShare, Lenovo Solution Center (before 1.1.008), Lenovo Transition, User Guide, YouCam, Lenovo Smart Update, Dolby Home Theater, USB Blocker, Superfish, Lenovo Motion Control, Lenovo Motion Control 2.0, Lenovo Motion Control 2.5, Lenovo Motion Control 2.6, Lenovo Voice Assistant (iFLYTEK), Lenovo Smart Voice, Veriface Pro, OneKey Recovery, Office 2010 Starter, Phone Companion, Phone Companion 2.0, User Guide Common Tool, RapidDrive, Smart Shutdown, and so on.
Note: To avoid compatibility issues, McAfee Internet Security will be uninstalled during upgrade. You need to manually download and install it afterwards. If you have any issues regarding activation, contact the software dealer.
Applications that are recommended to be uninstalled before upgrading

It is recommended to uninstall or update certain software prior to upgrading to Windows 10. Otherwise, the upgrade process may fail. Check to see if your computer has any of the following programs. If so, uninstall or upgrade the program before upgrading your computer.

Notes:
The software list below applies to all upgradable models. However, your computer may not include all of the software programs listed below.
To be safe, you should uninstall any software programs found on your computer from the list below. However, not all of the software programs listed below will cause problems after the upgrade process, depending upon your specific model.
The following apps are listed “as-is”. For any third-party app that is not preloaded on your computer, you should be careful about its compatibility.

4. Upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1

Before upgrading to Windows 10

Make sure your current operating system is eligible for this upgrade.
Notes:
To determine if your current version of Windows can be upgraded, go to: http://support.lenovo.com/windows-support.
To learn more about upgrading to Windows 10, go to: Windows 10 Preview: FAQ.
Make sure your current operating system has installed the latest updates.
Notes:
For Windows 7, update to Windows 7 SP1.
For Windows 8, update to Windows 8.1.
Ensure that you have backed up important files and data on your computer to an external storage device, such as external hard disk drives, DVDs or CDs, USB thumb drives, or network storage devices.
System requirements for Windows 10
Windows 10 works great on the same hardware that powers Windows 8.1:

Processor: 1 GHz or faster
RAM: 1 GB (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Free space of system disk: 16 GB
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
Additional requirements to use certain features:

To access the Windows Store and to download and run apps, you need an active Internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768.
Internet access (ISP fees might apply).
Upgrade procedures

Microsoft offers two options for upgrading to Windows 10: upgrading from an older version of Windows, or by a clean install.

Upgrade

If your current version of Windows can be upgraded, you may be able to keep your previous files, settings, user accounts, and programs. You can upgrade from the Windows Updates, or an external media storage device.

To perform an online upgrade from Windows Updates:

Connect to the Internet
Launch Control Panel and click System and Security → Windows Updates. Install all Windows updates until the upgrade to Windows 10 notification is displayed.
Click Install to download Windows 10.
After downloading, follow on-screen instructions to complete installing Windows 10.
Uninstall incompatible applications if necessary.

To perform an upgrade from an external media storage device:

Start your computer. Insert the Windows 10 upgrade disc or any kind of media storage with the upgrade package. Then run the setup.exe to start the upgrade wizard.
Choose Download and install updates (recommended).
Check I accept the license terms then click Accept.
Choose what you want to keep, such as Keep personal files, apps, and Windows settings, then click Next.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade. If you see a compatibility report, follow the instructions listed in the report.
Notes:
To start your computer directly from the upgrade disc or a media storage device, insert it and restart the computer. When the Lenovo logo comes up, access BIOS to open the boot selection menu. Choose the optical drive or media storage device as the first boot device.
If you choose the web-based upgrade, follow the on-screen instructions. If the upgrade fails due to network connection problems, you may need to recover the system using Lenovo Onekey Recovery (OKR) or Push Button Reset (PBR). If you haven't backed up personal files in advance, date loss will occur.
Clean install

If your current version of Windows cannot be upgraded or if you want to replace your current operating system entirely, you can perform clean install.

Some models can only support the clean install upgrade method.

To perform a clean install:

Follow the above steps 1 through 3.
Choose Keep nothing.
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the installation. Your Windows operating system will be upgraded to Windows 10 after the installation is complete.
Notes:
If you upgraded from Windows 7 or a 32-bit system, Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) may not have driver support.
Clean install deletes all separately installed programs and personal settings. You must manually reinstall your programs after Windows installation. You will also need to manually install any necessary hardware drivers for the new operating system.
The upgrade process might take about 2 hours or longer, depending on your network downloading speed, system configuration, and the total number of applications that need to be upgraded or reinstalled.
Specific notebook computer utilities or device drivers are required for the proper operation of your computer. These utilities or device drivers might vary from one computer model to another. Download and have them available before upgrading.
5. Recover system back to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1

If you need, you can recover your system back to the status before upgrading to Windows 10 by using Lenovo OneKey Recovery (OKR) or Windows Push Button Reset (PBR). The following describes how to recover your system back to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

Prerequisites

To restore the system, the following conditions should be met:

The OEM preloaded system remains.
The previous Windows backup image is still available.
OneKey Recovery

To restore the system partition with Lenovo OneKey Recovery (OKR):

Open the Lenovo OneKey Recovery system.
Click System Recovery. The computer will restart to the recovery environment.
Follow the on-screen instructions to restore the system partition to its original status or to a previously created back-up point.

PBR recovery

To restore the system partition with Push Button Reset (PBR):

Go to Start Start menu icon → Settings.
Select Update & security → Recovery.
Click Get started under the option title of Go back to Windows 7 or Go back to Windows 8.1.
Follow the on-screen instructions to rollback the system to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.
Notes:
Push Button Reset(PBR) recovery is only available within a month from the date of upgrading.
After upgrade, the key or button for recovery may have no function. If that's the case, you will need to manually start the recovery process.
6. Support

To learn more about Windows-related downloads and updates, go to Support - Windows Help.

Drivers, hardware applets and software programs, which may have been uninstalled prior to the upgrade, are available online at: http://support.lenovo.com/windows-support.

7. Trademarks

Lenovo, IdeaPad, and OneKey are trademarks or registered trademarks of Lenovo in the United States, other countries, or both.

Microsoft and Windows are either registered trademarks or trademarks of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and/or other countries.

Other company, product, or service names may be trademarks or service marks of others.

sorry soalan tak expert..

aku skg pakai win 7 ultimate tak genuine. tp dah di 'genuine' kan guna cara ttntu (but still not legal way, guna activator ke apa x ingat)

so, ade mslh x klu nak update ke win 10? semua MS office application ade dlm? klu tak boleh.. what if aku ade legal product key utk win 7 pro.. what to do?

Boleh je bro... guna activator tuh deactivate balik atau patch balik supaya win7 mcm asal. pastu enter legal/ori product key & activate. kalau takleh jugak, boleh call ms support centre utk activate guna phone call method.

pastu leh upgrade ke win10.

:)cgrock

nak tanya otai... aku punya dah install win10 bole guna tapi still ada notification kena activate kenapa tu? dah clean install

bro. pernah upgrade previous ke win10 sebelum clean install nih?

kalau pernah upgrade, kena carik product key dulu guna software eg: produkey

bila buat clean install, gunakan product key tuh utk activate.

kalau buat clean install terus, tanpa upgrade, kena ada ori win10 product key utk activate.

free upgrade cuma utk yg upgrade dr win7 atau win81, and not from clean installation

:)cgrock
