Laluan Doha ke Kuala Lumpur jana pemulihan pelancongan negara

SHAH ALAM - Perkhidmatan penerbangan laluan baharu Malaysia Airlines dari Doha ke Kuala Lumpur akan terus menjana pemulihan sektor pelancongan di negara ini.

Menteri Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri berkata, ia dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan aliran trafik melalui Lapangan Terbang Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) serta membuka Malaysia secara lebih luas kepada pelancong dari destinasi luar negara yang lain.

Ujar beliau, perkhidmatan itu akan menyediakan laluan yang lancar kepada penumpang melalui Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Hamad, membolehkan sambungan optimum ke Amerika Syarikat, Eropah, Afrika dan Timur Tengah, melalui perkongsian kod syarikat penerbangan tersebut dengan Qatar Airways.

“Ia sememangnya satu kelegaan yang besar untuk industri pelancongan kerana kami mengalu-alukan lebih ramai pelancong antarabangsa, pendatang baharu dan pelancong tetap, untuk meningkatkan lagi ekonomi kita.

“Oleh itu, kami berharap untuk pemulihan yang kukuh dalam pasaran kami memandangkan pembukaan semula sempadan akan membuka pintu untuk kebangkitan pelancongan luar negara dan dapat meningkatkan pemulihan.

“Kami menyasarkan untuk menarik seramai dua juta kemasukan pelancong antarabangsa tahun ini dengan lebih RM8.6 bilion dalam penerimaan pelancongan,” katanya dalam kenyataan pada Khamis.

Mengulas lanjut, Nancy berkata, syarikat penerbangan nasional itu akan mengendalikan penerbangan terus setiap hari antara Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur dan Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Hamad, Doha melalui MH160 yang berlepas dari KUL-DOH pada 9.20 malam dan MH161 yang berlepas di DOH-KUL pada 1.30 pagi.

“Perkhidmatan harian akan dikendalikan dengan pesawat A330-300, dilengkapi dengan 290 tempat duduk, terdiri daripada 27 tempat duduk dalam kelas perniagaan, 16 kelas ekonomi dengan ruang kaki tambahan dan 247 tempat duduk dalam kelas ekonomi,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, Nancy berkata, menurut Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB), trafik antarabangsa di rangkaian lapangan terbang tempatan meningkat sebanyak 53 peratus selepas sempadan dibuka semula pada 1 April lalu.

Jelasnya, MAHB telah merekodkan purata 23,000 pergerakan penumpang antarabangsa setiap hari, dengan angka memuncak melebihi 30,000 semasa cuti perayaan hari raya yang panjang baru-baru ini.

“Secara keseluruhan, lapangan terbang itu merekodkan sejumlah 642,128 pergerakan keluar penumpang antarabangsa antaranya Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kota Kinabalu (BKI), Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Pulau Pinang (PEN) dan Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Langkawi (LGK) menunjukkan peningkatan paling ketara sebanyak lebih daripada 200 peratus masing-masing jika dibandingkan dengan bulan sebelumnya,” katanya.
