LUXGEN Motors (pronounced /ˌlʌkˈdʒiːn/ "luck-gene", not "lux-gen"), a Taiwanese automaker, was a private brand announced by Yulon on January 6,

the first product is an MPV called the Luxgen7 MPV. It was officially shown to the public on August 19, 2009, and hit showrooms on 9/19/2009. The second product, the Luxgen7 SUV, was revealed in Xindian on 12/4/09. Both cars are powered by a 2.2L I-4 MEFI turbocharged engine developed by ChungHwa Engine Corp. and tuned by Delphi. The turbocharger is supplied by Garrett and powers the engine up to 175 PS (129 kW; 173 hp) and 28 kg·m (270 N·m; 200 lb·ft) of torque from 2,500 to 4,000 rpm. The 5-speed Manumatic transmission is supplied by Aisin. Pricing for the MPV starts at NT$798,000 up to NT$1,068,000, and NT$838,000-NT$1,148,000 for the SUV. ABS, EBD, BAS and the Think+ Multi-purpose system(slightly different by trim level) are all standard equipment. The targeted competitor is the Toyota Previa.[2]

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES- December, 18... Luxgen, Taiwan's first automobile brand is making its global debut at the Dubai International Motor Show, taking place 16 - 20 December 2009 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. On display is the full line-up of 4 unique Luxgen vehicles scheduled to become available in the GCC from Q4 2010. These Luxgen vehicles combine luxury, style, state of the art technology and forward thinking engineering philosophy.

Luxgen vehicles are engineered to 'Think Ahead' for their drivers. Armed with advanced technology designed by Taiwan's global smart phone leader HTC, Luxgen vehicles are equipped with a suite of advanced features to preempt road conditions and potential hazards. All Luxgen vehicles feature a state of the art onboard computer system, dubbed the 'Think+', which, for the first time ever, combines HTC smart technology and Windows CE Automotive interface.

'Think+' boasts six main attractive features, including video and audio entertainment, telecommunication, GPS navigation, safety alerts, owner exclusive applications and system settings. Additionally, the vehicles also feature: Eagle View+ (a 360 degree surround imaging system), Night Vision+ (light-enhancing forward-looking camera system), Side View+ (Blind spot Monitoring System nod LDWS+ (Lane Departure Warning System).

The inaugural Luxgen fleet consists of four vehicles, including the world's first 7-passenger electric vehicle (Luxgen EV+), a luxury executive transportation vehicle, (Luxgen CEO) plus a luxury MPV (Luxgen MPV) and a Luxury SUV (Luxgen7SUV).

The Luxgen brand was established by Taiwan's Yulon Group by combining Taiwan's highly advanced auto and IT industries.

The "IT+AUTO+ET", its core branding spirit, is what differentiates the Luxgen brand to best illustrate Taiwan's powerful R&D strength. Taiwan's first passenger automobile brand LUXGEN is steaming ahead with the launch of its second model the LUXGEN7 SUV. The LUXGEN7 SUV represents a milestone in vehicle design. The distinctive wing-shaped chrome nose trim and cascading grille express both power and confidence; meanwhile, its coupe-like profile and upward sweeping beltlines convey a sense of dynamic motion as well. Measuring at 4.8 meters long, 1.93 meters wide and 1.76 meters in height, the LUXGEN7 SUV is also among the largest in its segment while maintaining elegant and svelte proportions.

In order to offer an impressively solid body structure, the LUXGEN7 SUV adopts the Multi-H floor structure and HRSS High Rigidity Safety Structure to achieve a flat and spacious interior floor and excellent level of impact-resistance characteristics. For the powertrain, the LUXGEN7 SUV comes equipped with an intelligent 10-mode, 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shifting function co-developed by world's famous automotive transmission manufacturer Aisin for responsiveness, efficiency and driving enjoyment. LUXGEN7 SUV's intelligent 3-mode 4WD system can actively divide engine torque between the front and rear axles based on the road condition and driver input.

In order to facilitate the cargo access, the LUXGEN7 SUV is the only vehicle in its segment to be equipped with the intelligent power actuated tailgate as standard equipment. The intelligent power tailgate can be configured to open partially in order to prevent collision when parked in confined spaces such as an underground parking lot.

The LUXGEN-exclusive anti-theft sport seat is another standard equipment to demonstrate LUXGEN's attentive consideration for its owners. When drivers press the button on the anti-theft seat for three seconds before locking the doors with the remote control, the anti-theft system will activate by sliding itself forward and leaning against the steering wheel to deny unauthorised access of the vehicle.

In terms of the interior design, the LUXGEN7 SUV uses the premium leather seat with airline first class style surrounding head restraints together with the available heating, ventilation, electronic massage and lumbar support adjustment functions to ensure utmost comfort anytime. In addition, the Hi-end Clarion audio system and JBL speakers provide premium sound quality and surreal vocal reproduction to music lovers.

In the LUXGEN7 SUV, safety is the utmost priority. Standard safety equipment includes dual front SRS airbags, ABS Antilock Braking System, BAS Braking Assistance System, EBD Electronic Brake Distribution system. Furthermore, dual side protection airbags, dual side curtain airbags, ESC Electronic Stability Control, TCS Traction Control System are also available options.

The Think+ onboard computer system which offers video and audio entertainment, telecommunication, GPS navigation, personal safety, owner exclusive and system settings functionsare complemented with four advanced visual assistance systems including Eagle View+ (a 360 degree surveillance system), Side View+ (Blind Spot Monitoring System), LDWS+(Lane Departure Warning System) and Night vision+ (high sensitivity night vision enhancement system) offering unparalleled functionality.

Luxgen nie kalau tak silap guna enjin dan platform syarikat lain. Cuma dia buat exterior dan interior sahaja. Samalah macam penubuhan proton awal2 dahulu. Cuma Luxgen lebih beruntung kerana kelahirannya tepat di zaman design automotive yang dah maju dan "bold". Juga dibantu oleh faktor industri pembuatan acuan taiwan yang dah maju hingga Proton atau Perodua pun buat acuan di Taiwan untuk pengurangan kos pelaburan berbanding acuan yang dibuat di jepun atau korea. Sebab tu keluar2 body cantik. Proton dah ade enjin and boleh buat chassis sendiri cuma aku rasa designer mereka sekarang no taste. better design hanger baju jek
