Liverpool Liverpool Transfers

Ince's showdown with Blackpool

07:00 GMT: Liverpool and Blackpool are once again in a stand-off over the possible transfer of Tom Ince, according to the Daily Mirror. Ince joined the Reds' youth framework in 2008 and has long been linked with a move back to Anfield. Liverpool have reportedly offered £5 million, but talks with the Championship side have stalled in recent weeks. Blackpool face Fulham in the FA Cup third round this weekend and Ince is concerned about becoming ineligible for the remainder of the season if he features in the tie. Tom's father Paul, a Liverpool legend, has urged Blackpool to lower their asking price and allow the 20-year-old to secure a move immediately.

The Liverpool Echo are reporting that the Red's are looking to sign Ricardo Quaresma.

The Portugal international paid out his contract at Besiktas in December, and is currently unattached.

Liverpool Football Club have confirmed Joe Cole has joined West Ham United on a free transfer

09:30 GMT: Joe Cole on his move back to West Ham: "It is a great move for me. Coming back here brings back all the memories of the pitches I learnt how to play on."

"I've always loved West Ham and I hope I can give the club a few memorable seasons. The timing was right for me and I'm happy."

When does the transfer window open and close?

There are two transfer windows in each Barclays Premier League season.

The first commences at midnight on the last day of the season and ends on 31 August if a working day - or, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.

The second transfer window commences at midnight on the 31 December and ends on the 31 January if a working day, and again, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.

Temporary transfers can be made permanent outside of the transfer windows. For further information please see the rules in the Premier League Handbook.

09:26 GMT: Goal.com claims Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are all looking to sign 17-year-old Southampton left-back Matt Targett.

10:25 GMT: Fabio Borini’s agent has told itasportpress.it that PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti had wanted to sign the forward prior to his move to Liverpool.

11:28 GMT: Mauro Zarate’s agent has told Tuttomercatoweb he is at "war" with Lazio after the president refused to lower his valuation of the striker. Coach Vladimir Petkovic has since said: "I think it is his fault as I tried in every way possible over the last three months to get him involved. Maybe it’s a defeat for me too. Someone said the club forced certain decisions upon me, but that is not true. The most important thing for me is the collective." Arsenal, Liverpool and Stoke have all been linked with the forward, who impressed during a loan spell in England with Birmingham in 2008.

15:00 GMT: Liverpool have posted an interview with Brendan Rodgers on their official website. Rodgers tells fans not too expect much more movement this month, but there "might be one more signing."
