Rodgers: I'll look at youngsters

Brendan Rodgers is using the international break to cast an eye on the next generation of Liverpool players - and he hopes inviting them to train alongside Jamie Carragher for a few days will help them take strides towards the first team.

The boss has arranged for youngsters from the Academy to join his four senior stars at Melwood throughout this week and the start of next.

And he told Liverpoolfc.com: "There are only four players left here, but there is always a positive angle from it and it gives me a really good chance to look at our young players.

"I've tried to get around the youth team players, the reserve team players, and look at the level we have.

"First and foremost it's a chance for me to see the players working and see their improvements, and try to help and guide them.

"They are trying to make steps up towards the first team and this gives them an opportunity to learn, and not just from the coaches.

"They come up here and train with Jamie Carragher, a guy who is in his 18th year as a professional. The biggest thing they will get from the session is the attitude of Jamie Carragher - absolutely incredible.

"Young players at 18 or 19, to see a guy who has been doing this work nearly as long as they've been alive, and showing the same enthusiasm and commitment to want to learn and improve, is great for them."

Gunakan peluang yg ada untuk player muda..

Fact of the day #2: The interesting tale of Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling is a factician's dream. The 17 year-old has already become a household name. After impressive performances against both Manchester City and Arsenal, Sterling has put himself on the map; and here's his story.

After being born and raised in Jamaica, Raheem and his mother emigrated to London, in the hope of a more prosperous life. What's also very interesting is that Sterling's first school was in a little town called Wembley, which just happens to have what many consider the 'Home of Football'. He attended the Copland High School in the North-West suburb.

By the time he was 10, he had already been signed to QPR's academy. Just four years later, he was attracting interest from some of England's elite clubs. QPR, at the time, were so keen to keep him, that they tried to give first-team assurances and a luxury long-term contract - to a 14 year-old!

The hype surrounding Raheem grew in his country of origin. In a Jamaican national newspaper, Sterling's rise to youth-starlet was featured. The headline read: 'Jamaican takes UK youth football by storm'. The paper went on to praise his progress and reported that he had "dazzled the English football world with his prodigious talent".

Raheem Sterling has impressed at England youth-level. After being selected for the England U-17 World Cup squad, he scored a brilliant goal in a 2-0 win, and got his second goal in the tournament against Argentina.

Since then, many have tipped Sterling for the England senior side, however the winger's mother told press that she likes the idea of him representing Jamaica sometime in the future, and young Raheem didn't dispell his mother's sentiments, adding that - "When it comes to that decision that is when I will decide, but if Jamaica comes for me, why not?''.

QPR's attempt to keep the winger failed. Liverpool won the coveted race to sign the 15-year-old, for a initial fee of £500,000, rising to a possible figure ten times the initial amount.

On 24 March 2012, Sterling made his senior Liverpool debut as a substitute in a Premier League match against Wigan aged just 17 years and 107 days, becoming the second-youngest player ever to play for the club. Under Brendan Rodgers, he has started 2 of Liverpool's 3 opening Premier League games, and having impressed in both - the future looks bright for the Kingston-born 17 year-

Why I Think We Should Trust FSG..

When FSG bought Liverpool, it was a great moment for the club H&G were no longer in control, and stopping the progress of the club, they didn't seem to want to do what was in the best interest of Liverpool Football Club, however, I think FSG do.. Why? Because they've done it with the Red Sox's in America, in many ways, they were like us, it'd been a while since we'd won something when they bought us, and looks how much the Red Sox's have come along since he invested his money and time into the club.

The same with Liverpool too, when they took over, there was talk about is going into administration, there was a possibility Liverpool Football Club wouldn't be anymore, but he saved us, and has made the club into a better one financially then it was when they took over.

They want to succeed, and they want to make money, the only way they can made sure that happens is by doing what's very best for the club, turning us into the best we can we, and us winning stuff on the pitch.

What FSG are doing with Liverpool is a long-term project, don't expect things to happen overnight, give them time, they'll come good.

SETUJU???:-?
