To conduct lab projects in Technical division as defined by the Manager and provide support to other related functions such as Manufacturing, Quality Control and Applications (i.e. trouble shooting) for Customer. The position requires planning, solving of routine problems within standards and established procedures, and is expected to adapt and modifying present techniques upon discussion with Supervisor.

Role Purpose Statement
To conduct lab projects in Technical division as defined by the Manager and provide support to other related functions such as Manufacturing, Quality Control and Applications (i.e. trouble shooting) for Customer. The position requires planning, solving of routine problems within standards and established procedures, and is expected to adapt and modifying present techniques upon discussion with Supervisor.
Main Accountabilities
- Perform lab works including sample preparation, testing, experiment and benchmarking exercises. The assignments will be conducted to ensure that the stated objectives are met and that required time and cost provisions are observed.
- To collect, maintain data and provide feedback/observations in an accurate manner from the evaluation. Properly maintain result and samples for traceability.
- Technical services - occasionally attend customer trials and application services as required.
- Work closely with SCM, i.e. assist in quality control/manufacturing problems, monitor production trials.
- Assist in inventory reduction projects e.g. Slow moving, work-off etc.
- Work closely with Manager for realization of the cost down projects.
- Prepare and maintain specific documentation for QC specifications
- Assist in BOM maintenance
- Ensure good housekeeping practice for work area according to Company’s standards.
- Ensure that safety measures are fully practised while in the lab or plant.
- Ensuring testing equipment are in good operating conditions.
Qualification
- Minimum SPM, preferably in Science subject.
- Only for Male (Any race).
- Experienced 2 – 3 in ink industry
- Able converse in English.
- Experience in coatings and inks are an added advantage.
- For those who have working experience that relevant to the position as below is an added advantage.
