Position : QA Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
• To supervise the work force in IPQA, Document & Record Retention Center.
• The QA Manager is the customer advocate to ensure all Products are manufactured with Quality and Reliability Standards as specified by Customer requirements which are translated into Internal Specifications.
• Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality systems and activities.
• Ensures the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of products.
• Participates in the reviewing of New Product designs to contribute quality assurance requirements and considerations.
• Drives Continuous Improvements in Quality by providing Internal and External Quality Information.
• Establishes Operational objectives and assignments, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers.
• Involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies which affect immediate Operation(s) and may also have company-wide effect. Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities.
• Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers.
• Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations.
• Manage activities of QA Sections or departments through subordinate managers or Section Heads who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and employees. The functional areas are Quality Engineering, Document Control & Record Retention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To supervise the work force in IPQA, Document & Record Retention Center.
• To render expertise in quality control in manufacturing operations where and when appropriate.
• To lead and motivate workforce under your supervision.
• To maintain an effective quality audit, appraisal and reporting system such that deficiencies are reported back to those responsible for immediate corrective actions and Continuous Improvements.
• To coordinate the quality improvement program in the assigned area.
• To promote quality awareness within the organization.
• To promote use of statistic techniques in manufacturing and support activities.
• To interface between customers and manufacturing on quality matters.
• To continuously improve the quality system. Through Anticipative & Preventive approaches.
• To interface with process engineering, production and QA personnel in resolving manufacturing Quality problems, customer complaints and audit failures and follow up on implementation of CORRECTIVE ACTIONS.
• To attend to customer / business centers complaints on our product quality with the aim of preventing them from recurrence.
• Consistently review the operating system to ensure compliance to ISO9002/TS16949 Quality System.
• To ensure conformance to specification are followed with minimum deviation from the original specification.
• To continually update the quality assurance specifications and feedback on the changes for internal and external basis.
• To initiate investigation and respond to customer complaint on the product on a timely basis.
• To assist the technical service and production departments to troubleshoot quality problems by analyzing the data collected daily and through evaluation.
• To motivate, develop all quality assurance personnel in the method and techniques of the quality assurance system.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Engineering Degree with at least 10 years of manufacturing experience in Wafer Fab or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in areas of Quality Management, Process Engineering, Manufacturing or related.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Engineering Degree with at least 10 years of manufacturing experience in Wafer Fab or equivalent.
