The details of the jobs description as below.
Complexity:
Responsible for all elements of the storage hardware and software problems analysis for APJ/EMEA/US
Analyzes and provides innovative solutions to problems
Support and troubleshooting large scale of 24x7 enterprise storage system not limited to EMC Clariion, EMC Disk Library, Legato Backup Software, Quantum Tape Library and Brocade FC SAN Fabric
Ability to determine root cause of the problem and provide problem fixing in timely manner
Mentor/coaches less experience Systems Engineer
Knowledge & Skills:
Possesses and routinely applies broad knowledge of systems engineering processes and procedures to the completion of complex assignments.
Possesses knowledge, skills and abilities required to resolve most storage system problems.
Expert knowledge of common system hardware design configurations that optimize system performance.
Ability to consistently apply broad knowledge of system engineering to the diagnoses and resolution of the systems engineering problems.
Familiarity with platform and large enterprise environments.
Advanced knowledge of system performance, hardware and software.
Effective communication skills within and outside team.
Qualifications
Have knowledge on Dell, EMC & Quantum Hardware products
Have knowledge on Dell/EMC Software products (EMC Control Center, Navisphere, Timefinder & Legato Networker)
In depth experience with Dell Clariion, EqualLogic, Legato Backup, deduplication and Brocade FC SAN hardware problems and troubleshooting. Experience in design, configuration and deployment EMC solution is a plus.
Familiar with SAN topology.
Experience working with global project and support teams.
Strong analytical minds with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
