A popular proverb in the Forex market is "Trend is Your Friend". I will try to say a little about how true this statement is. First let's come to this discussion of Trend. The word trend means inclination, turn, inclination, turning, inclination or tendency. In the language of the forex market, I would call it a path. That is to keep turning in any direction. When we look at the Forex chart, we can see that the market chart is moving in a certain direction. It can be Uptrend or Upward Downtrend or Downward. Let's look at the image below.

Yes the trend is your friend but it is up to you to establish what the trend is. If you are not able to do this the trend can turn out to be your enemy, so to speak, as you can lose money if you predict incorrectly.

yes in order to get higher winning rate, we need to follow the trend.

I think this is an indisputable rule for smart trading. After all, only with trend price movements can we take large profit points and minimize our risks by setting small stop losses at the ends of pullbacks.

The proverb "Trend is Your Friend" highlights the importance of identifying market direction in Forex trading. A trend indicates the market's inclination—upward or downward. Understanding these movements helps traders make informed decisions, aligning their strategies with the prevailing market path for potential profit opportunities. Recognizing trends is crucial for success.

Trend trading in Forex has many advantages, including increased probability of success, simplicity of strategy, reduced emotional stress, and the ability to maximize profits on long-term movements.

I like to build and test countertrend strategy as well because risk rewards are sometimes much butter than in trend strategies and returns are realized much quickly due to increased volatility accompanying pullbacks

The proverb "Trend is Your Friend" highlights the importance of trading in the direction of the market's movement. Identifying trends—whether upward (uptrend) or downward (downtrend)—helps traders align their strategies with market momentum. Staying with the trend often leads to more consistent profits compared to fighting against it.

Trend trading is also safer and more comfortable. In such trading, traders can leave their positions open for a long time, minimizing the need for frequent intervention. This makes this style of trading more comfortable for people who do not want to spend a lot of time constantly monitoring the market.
