Global edible oil markets shifted sharply in October 2025, with India’s palm oil imports falling 27.7% to 602,381 metric tons and Malaysia’s crude palm oil (CPO) output rising 11% month-on-month to 2.04 million tons. These factors pressured Bursa Malaysia’s Crude Palm Oil Futures (FCPO), which eased from RM4,500 per metric ton to RM4,100 per metric ton, making October the most active trading month for FCPO in 2025.

Meanwhile, Gold Futures (FGLD) recorded robust activity, with trading volume rising 51% from 5,913 contracts in September 2025 to 8,920 contracts in October 2025.
