Giovanni Moreno scored twice in 14 second-half minutes as Racing Club came from behind to beat Argentinos Juniors 2-1.

The visitors led through Franco Niell's 28th-minute opener but Moreno struck in the 59th and 73rd minutes to complete the comeback.

Boca Juniors enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Huracan, Martin Palermo (43) and Lucas Viatri (65) scoring the goals.

And Olimpo also won at home, an own goal from Hernan Grana gifting them a 1-0 victory over Lanus.

In the day's other game, Godoy Cruz twice came from behind to claim a point at home to River Plate.

An own goal from Leonardo Sigali was cancelled out by David Ramirez (52) before River retook the lead 11 minutes later through Mariano Pavone.

But the home side hit back again through substitute Cesar Carranza 12 minutes from time to earn a point.

There was controversy as Funes Mori appeared to snatch a late winner for River only to have it brought back for a handball that appeared to be a mistake by the officials.

Wellington Phoenix set a new A-League record for consecutive games unbeaten at home with a 2-2 draw against Melbourne Heart at Westpac Stadium. Chris Greenacre had given the hosts the lead but a John Aloisi penalty and a Matt Thompson strike turned the game on its head.

However, Leo Bertos equalised in the 60th minute to rescue a point and extend the Phoenix's unbeaten record at home to 24 games. Greenacre opened the scoring in the sixth minute when he slotted home after latching onto a pass from Manny Muscat but Heart hit back eight minutes later when Adrian Zahara had been fouled inside the area and Aloisi converted from the spot.

Heart, bidding for their first away win of the season, regained the lead in the 36th minute when Thompson capitalised on poor defending to fire home. But Bertos sealed a share of the spoils when he rifled a shot from outside the area into the back of the net on the hour mark.
Phoenix are sixth in the standings with 12 points while Heart are one place below on goal difference.

Meanwhile, A-League leaders Adelaide United were held to a goalless draw by Gold Coast United at Skilled Park. In a game of few goalscoring opportunities, Sergio van Dijk had the most noteworthy chance for either side when the Adelaide striker ballooned a header just over the crossbar early in the second half. The point extends Adelaide's advantage at the top of the standings to six points while Gold Coast climb to fourth.

QPR might be sitting at the top of the Championship table, but owner Bernie Ecclestone said he is really not bothered.

"Yeah, it's good. Super, super, super. We can only go down from here," he told the Guardian. Asked if he has any enthusiasm for the club he replied: "Not at all. Of course I can pull out, but there are lots of things that could and should be done there. It's mainly commercial things and for me to see if we can get that working better. Once you get me involved that's it. I'm there."

Ecclestone invested in QPR along with his friends Flavio Briatore and Lakshmi Mittal. "It's something I got involved in," he told the newspaper, "[but] not out of choice. I'm probably going to be even more involved shortly. It's a task that needs getting on with."

Asked if promotion to the Premier League would excite him, he smiled. "Half the people who get involved in football do it only to satisfy their ego. I suppose we all get caught up in that."

And he admitted that he once toyed with the idea of launching a bid for Arsenal. "I thought it would be nice if we could be in charge. It was a ****** thing to do. I'm very lucky I escaped because that would've been a 24-hours-a-day job. I only got involved a little bit because my daughter's boyfriend was David Dein's son. That's how it started."
