Interview with new star of ForexStars tournaments Heribertus Adhi P

Every day traders from all over the world join ForexStars tournaments and win real money in battles at real and demo accounts. Heribertus Adhi P - is one of the successful new traders of the project. And he's already the star of ForexStars. During one month Heribertus Adhi P won 11 tournaments; and he was among prize winners in 25 tournaments. Today the new champion shares his feelings with us:

Would you compare trading with sport? If yes, which with, and why?

Yes, marathon. Because there are many participants (sometimes thousands) and only very small percentage win.

How did you know about ForexStars? In which tournaments have you already participated? What did you like most about them? Which will be the next tournament you will take part in?

I know about ForexStars from search engine. I participated in free-rolls, Daily Buck, and Daily Fiver. I plan to take part in Weekly Tenner and Big Fifty (When my account balance allows it).


Was it just luck or you used any specific trading strategy?

I think its combination of luck and my strategy.

If you had an opportunity to create a new tournament, what it would be like?

One on one or three participants Sit and Go, winner take all (because I see that 10 participants S’n’G, take very long time to fill up).

What is your broker? Why do you like it more than others?

Dukascopy & Alpari (low spread, regulated, reliable, in the market for long time), Admiral Markets (I win tournament prize money there).

There are key deals in the life of each trader: profitable and un-profitable. Which of them gave you more experience?

The un-profitable trades make me introspect of my trading strategy, and learn my lessons. The profitable trades make me confident to make better trading decisions in the future.

Which emotions do you suffer when you lose? How do you cope with them?

First lose in the trading season makes me feel nothing because that is part of the game; when I lose two times in a row I feel upset because I make wrong decisions; 3 loses in a row - I am angry with myself why I can sync with the market and close my trading platform. I stop trading for that day and watch movie or take a walk to calm myself.

Is trading more about success or professionalism?

If one wants to make a living from trading, he/she should consider trading as a business and must do it professionally in order to success as other business venture.

What do you think; traders are people of special fiber? What makes them different from others?

Trading is very stressful activity, it needs people with strong mentality to survive in the long term. Trader must take full responsibility for the bad performance, because there is no one else to blame but her/him self (not like other professions).

Interview of one of the first ForexStars's participants

Throughout the history of the project many clients of ForexStars left and their places were superseded by new champions. However, there are traders who develop with ForexStars for quite a long period of time. Vladimir Ukraintsev won more than 100 regular tournaments since the establishment of the project. Vladimir is devoted to the project for more than two years already, and today he will share his impressions about the tournaments.


Would you compare trading with sport? If yes, which with, and why?

I think that tournaments between traders resemble sport more than trading itself. I would compare tournaments with such sport where rapid change of situation takes place (hockey, mini-footbal, etc.)

How did you get to know about ForexStars? In which tournaments have you already participated? What did you like most about them? Which tournament will be the next?

I found out about ForexStars project at the site of one broker. At that time this broker had no contests, that's why they recommended to use your tournament platform at their account as well. I managed to take part in all tournaments of your project. Especially I like trading during release of important data - the leaders change rapidly - it's very interesting. At least I plan to take part in Freerolls.

Was it just luck or you used any specific trading strategy?

I use scalping strategy, because the spread volume is important for me - the less, the better.

If you had an opportunity to create a new tournament, what it would be like?

I would like to add more tournaments of long continuance.

What is your broker? Why do you prefer it more than others?

I have already mentioned the importance of limited spread, and I made choice in favor of Tarsier FX trading without comissions and sufficiently limited spread. Unfortunately, there are not so many brokers with similar conditions.

There are key deals in the life of each trader: profitable and un-profitable. Which of them gave you more experience?

Surely, non-profitable trades bring more experience...

Which emotions do you suffer when you lose? How do you cope with them?

When I lose - it is a sad period for me. I have to reorganize my approach to different market conditions: to decide when exactly to enter the field.

Is trading more about success or professionalism?

Finally trading is professionalism, one needs to press for it honing one's skills.

What do you think; traders are people of special fiber? What makes them different from others?

Traders are extremely different in character and temper. This is person's inherent feature. Actually every trader adjusts him / herself for market battle. Somebody manages, somebody doesn't.
