Re: Sound files made available without respective authorisation of right owners
The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry [Hong Kong Group] (IFPI HKG) is the Hong Kong national group of the IFPI which represents the recording industry worldwide with over 1 ,450 members in 75 countries and affiliated industry associations in 48 countries. As part of our work, we monitor the Internet, and take action against any person who uses music in a manner that infringes rights in sound recordings. IFPI HKG has established that the unauthorised reproduction and/or making available of sound files is taking place via the URL(s) detailed below:

These sound files are derived from sound recordings created and owned by our Member Companies which are not yet commercially published. IFPI HKG wishes to inform you, through this letter, of the legal rules involved in this. Uploading protected sound recordings and making these sound files available via the Internet requires the permission of the appropriate right owners. Doing this without such permission constitutes an infringement of our members' rights. The release of these recordings is at the discretion of the relevant right owner.
IFPI HKG understand that these sound files are offered by a third person using your facilities. In this regard we would also like to inform you that the participation in a copyright infringement performed by a third person may be subject to civil and criminal remedies.
IFPI HKG's goal and that of all our Member Companies is to work with the Internet and online community to ensure that the law is clearly understood and fairly applied. We hope that by mutually supporting the enforcement of the existing laws, both the online industry and the music industry can flourish together in this new E-commerce environment. In anticipation of your co-operation, we are compelled to provide this express notice of a copyright infringement.
We hereby urge you to take prompt and effective steps to cease and, at the latest within 24 hours, prevent the reproduction, distribution and/or making available of copied sound files from the URL(s). IFPI HKG will be checking that the above-mentioned activity has ceased.
