sbb aritu nav jatuh 1.4458 saya ada tambah unit..
so unit baru ni dikira jugak la yer?

maksud bro tiada beza cmne tu?

aku buat satu simple calculation...

NAV before unit split RM2 and Holding Unit = 10000 Unit..
assuming unit split 1:2, NAV after will be at RM1.00 so soklan nyer bape unit pastu?

jawapnye gande 2 so unit skarang is 20,000 unit so in term of unit mmg tinggi and NAV mmg rendah..

the real question is...is your asset really growing?
before unit SPLit,

ASSET VALUE = NAV * Unit Holding..

ASSET VALUE (Before) = RM2.00 * 10,0000 = RM20,000.00
ASSET VALUE (After) = RM1.00 * 20,000 = RM20,000.00

same kan?

that is y, no different bro..similar to dividen declaration..must focus on ASSET GROWTH NOT NAV PRICE....

unfortunately ade satu fund house ni mmg kerje die suke bgtau paper yg fund die keep on bg dividen (at same time NAV makin rendah)....

so our people is being condition to believe that buying low is good (their selling point, "abg fund nih dah declare dividen n NAV rendah boleh tambah unit") that is y a lot of fund house had to follow trend..

that is y last year aku complain kat kenanga investor berhad nape sebelum ni(sepanjang 10 tahun tuh) xpernah nyer nak declare dividen but on 2012 dah la buat unit split bg dividen lagi...
