ok.. I was bored and many forums I've checked out while doing some research about the prices of the bars didont quite believe that putting magnets on the fuel line would help... since Fuel Saver or the EPS fuel saver uses magnet to polarized the fuell cell.. they say there is an increase of HP and ur FC will be better... well.. it is... it really helps tho... it gives a small increase of HP that you can feel it...
Why HDD magnets you may ask... HDD magnets are stronger than normal magnets.. you ahve to use a strong magnet to polarized the fuel cell... oh yeah.. the bigger the magnet is doesnt mean the stronger the magnet is... so dont get fooled by those woofer magnets as my friend did..
okay... lets put the testimonial aside... if you are interested... you can go into any computer store and ask for spoilt harddisk.. check the harddisk.. do they have magnets or not.. some of them doesnt have because the people in the comp shop has taken them out.. try to get at least four of them.. but they gave/sold me 12 of them.. hahaha!! you can offer them RM2 per piece.. if its higher than RM3.. ask them to go to hell.. I got mine for RM2 per piece.. I heard in lowyat they are willing to sell it at RM2... here is an example of a harddisk..
this is a samsung HDD... try to get this.. at least you dont stress urself out opening this HDD... in almost all HDD they use star allen screws... but samsung uses philips screw... so if you dont have the star allen screw drivers.. you can drop by in ur local hardware store to get it or you can ask the comp shop ppl to help you open it... if you dont want... you can do like what I did with Kevin... we took one chisel(correct kah spelling?) and a hammer. we hammer into the side of the HDD and break the screw into two... but this method doesnt work when you want to take out the magnets... you must have star allen screw drivers.. or you can take a driller and drill thru the screw.. its up to you.. I went to my friend's hardware store and pinjam a star allen screwdriver.. hoho!!
after opening it you can see da magnet... you can take the magnetic disc also.. it serves as a good mirror.. ahhahaha... I know my friend in the hardware store wanted it.. so I gave about 6 pieces of magnetic disc to her.. hahaha..
this is a close up of the magnet.. you basicly just take it out.. the magnet is inside.. one warning tho.. the magnet is very strong.. I've clipped my fingers countless of times because being careless and its very very painful.. no joke.. not all magnets will appear like tat... some have different shape that is hard to deal with... especially those U-shape metals.. there is just one small piece of magnet which is not nice to use.. ahhaha... try to get a reasonably large magnet larh.. like the one u see in the pic.. then thats enuf...
what I did with the magnet is this.. basicly I have harvested 8 pieces of magnets from 6 harddisk... I took four FLAT pieces of the metal that comes with the magnet.. take out the magnets from the remainning four pieces of metal.. and put two pieces of magnets on each metal piece... I hope you guys understand.. I forgot to take a picture of it.. wuakakak!! taking out the magnets from the metal piece is hard.. you have to use a flat head screw driver and a hammer... I use tat to take the magnets out.. but dont use too much force..
then its time for you to sandwich the fuel line with ur magnets... armed with a cable tie you just sandwich the fuel line with ur magnets.. and voila you are done! it'll look something like this for those who doesnt know..
I bet some of you have known this ady.. but gee.. there are ppl who doesnt know.. hahaha... it works tho.. I'll charge RM15 including instalation for that if you want to buy it from me.. hahahaha!! pah.. happy trying guys.. it does work.. well for me larh... but keep away from the heat.. I heard HDD magnets cant stand extreme heat.. and keep away from all the sensors in ur car..
