ASN unitholders get 6.3 sen
KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) has announced an income distribution of 6.30 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Nasional (ASN) for the financial year ending December 31, 2012.
The payout is the highest for the past 12 years since 2001 and jumps 25 sen per unit higher than the 6.05 sen per unit income distribution last year.
In a statement today, PNB chairman Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said: “The payment would benefit 1.23mil unit holders, who hold 1.46 billion units of ASN.”
It will involve RM92.18mil of total payout, which is 3% higher than last year's RM89.5mil.
“This performance is beyond our expectation despite unstable market condition that influenced by the European sovereign debt crisis that resulted in economic slowdown in developed countries,” Sarji said.
