The major difference is the money used. A demo account uses virtual money, so you don't need to put in money from your pocked and you cannot withdraw your profit. A Real or live account needs real money from you pocket and you can withdraw your profit.

Another major difference is that you don't get re-quotes on a demo account. That is all. A demo account is the best way to learn how to trade Forex without risking your money.

Demo Trading is to gain the knowledge required to trade in the Live Forex Trading, and it only works, if we have seriousness in the process of learning.

Yeah, emotions like greed and anger could destroy our thinking capability and thus you need to have a proper amount of control over the emotions else we cannot become successful in it.

Trading in demo account is kinda the same as driving simulator. Yes, the things you do are the same but there's not much use.

I don’t know how this comparison is being done. As we all know demo trading is only for learning purpose and without a proper knowledge and skills a trader can’t survive in the forex market for a long time. So demo trading offers that learning opportunities to the traders without investing any money. And once you are confident that you have that expertise to trade efficiently with the real money start your trading with live accounts.
