CRITICAL POINTS - VertexFX Indicator

Critical Points is a handy VertexFX client side VTL indicator that shows support and resistance levels and trading ranges based on the trend and price movements. In the first step we calculate the Moving Average of the specified MA TYPE and MA PERIOD.

In the next step we calculate the 8 Fibonacci levels above and below the Moving Average based on FIBO_1, FIBO_2, FIBO_3, FIBO_4, FIBO_5, FIBO_6, FIBO_7 and FIBO_8 distances provided by the user.

These levels are termed as Critical Points, as price exhibits support and resistance at these levels. For example, the immediate Support is the FIBO_1 level below, and the immediate Resistance is FIBO_1 level above.

When the FIBO_1 level is breached from above, that is the support is broken, it now becomes the resistance and the FIBO_2 below becomes the new support.

These Fibonacci levels are used to determine nearest support and resistances and place stop-losses or entry levels accordingly. In sideways markets, price bounces of support and falls down from resistances. When the support or resistance is broken with strong volume, it indicates the start of a new trend direction.

NOTE - This indicator does not provide BUY or SELL signals.

BUY - This indicator does not provide BUY signals.

SELL - This indicator does not provide SELL signals.

DAILY PIVOT POINTS - VertexFX Indicator

Daily Pivot Points is a powerful and handy VertexFX client side VTL indicator that displays the daily Pivot, Support and Resistance levels. This indicator displays the daily Pivot, Support and Resistance levels and is useful in placing stops and breakout levels for intraday trading.

The Pivot value is calculated as the sum of Open (current), High (previous), Low (previous), Close (previous) divided by 4.

The Support is calculated as 2 * Pivot - Low (previous)

The Resistance is calculated as 2 * Pivot - High (previous)

In addition, the indicator displays R1, S1, R2, S2, R3 and S3, as well as intermediate levels between these levels.

P = (O + H + L) / 3

R1 = 2 * P - L

S1 = 2 * P - H

R2 = P + (H - L)

S2 = P - (H - L)

R3 = 2 * P + (H - 2 * L)

S3 = 2 * P - (2 * H - L)

NOTE :

This indicator works only on H4 and lower time-frames.

This indicator does not provide BUY or SELL signals. It must be used with other indicators.

Day Impulse Overlay - Vertex FX Indicator

Day Impulse Overlay is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator that gives excellent entry and exit signals.

The main GOLD line is calculated as the cumulative sum of the difference between the Close and Open of each candle over the recent PERIOD candles and is expressed in points.

The signal BLUE line is calculated as the difference between the Close and Open of each candle and expressed in points.

The average WHITE line is the Simple Moving Average over MA_PERIOD candles of the main GOLD line.

The concept behind the DayImpulse2DD indicator is that the relationship between Open and Close prices exhibit deterministic behavior in trending markets. In an up trending market, the Close price is higher than the Open price most of the times. Hence the main indicator is rising. When the uptrend stalls, the Open and Close prices exhibit in deterministic behavior, and hence the indicator moves sideways or downwards indicating an end of the trend.

In a down trending market, the Close price is lower than the Open price most of the times. Hence the main indicator is falling. When the uptrend stalls, the Open and Close prices exhibit in deterministic behavior, and hence the indicator moves sideways or starts moving upwards indicating an end of the trend.

BUY - Enter BUY trade when GOLD line is below the BLUE line, and both lines are below zero. The GOLD line must be rising for at least 2 candles.

SELL - Enter SELL trade when the GOLD line is above the BLUE line, and both lines are above zero. The GOLD line must be falling for at least 2 candles.

Elliot Wave Oscillator - Vertex FX Indicator

Elliot Wave Oscillator is a powerful Vertex FX client side VTL indicator that gives excellent entry and exit signals.

The concept behind the EWO is that the fast moving SMA responds quicker to price trends compared to the slow moving SMA. When a new uptrend starts, the fast SMA raises quickly compared to the slow SMA. As a result, the EWO rises, thus marking the beginning of a new trend. As the trend stalls, or starts moving sideways, this difference between the fast SMA and slow SMA starts reducing, and reaches its peak. This signals the end of the trend. When the trend reverses, the fast SMA again follows the price, and the difference between the fast SMA and slow SMA turns negative. This negative difference gradually increases and reaches a negative trough when the downtrend stalls.

The same process repeats again on the next uptrend or downtrend.

Hence it is very useful to trade in trending markets. The difference between the fast SMA and slow SMA also eliminates any sideways noise and providing clarity in the signal.

The indicator is presented as a histogram and oscillates around the zero line.

In the first step, we calculate the fast moving Simple Moving Average of the Median price for the EWO_PERIOD1 period.

In the second step, we calculate the slow moving Simple Moving Average of the Median price for the EWO_PERIOD2 period.

The indicator value is calculated as the difference between the fast moving SMA and the slow moving SMA.

BUY - Enter BUY trade when the EWO indicator value is below zero line and rising for two consecutive bars.

SELL - Enter SELL trade when the EWO indicator value is above zero line and falling for two consecutive bars.

Fibo calc - Vertex FX Indicator

Fibo calc is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator that gives precise entry and exit signals based on Fibonacci levels.

The indicator provides precise trading details.

Trend = UP / DOWN. - Specifies whether the price is in uptrend or down-trend.

Entry = BUY / SELL @ price - Specifies whether to enter BUY or SELL trade and the price.

Stop Loss = The stop loss where to exit the trade.

TP 1 = The first take profit level.

TP 2 = The second take profit level.

TP 3 = The third take profit level.

The Trend is UP if current close is above previous close, whereas Trend is DOWN if close is below previous close.

If Trend is UP, entry is High - 38.2% of daily range, and Stop loss is High - 61.8% of daily range.

If Trend is DOWN, entry is Low + 38.2% of daily range, and Stop Loss is Low + 61.8% of daily range.

TP1 is calculated as 61.8% of daily range.

TP2 is calculated as 100% of daily range.

TP3 is calculated as 161.8% of daily range.

BUY - Enter BUY position when indicator displays Entry = BUY @ price. Place stop-loss at the specified value. Place take-profit at TP1, TP2 and TP3 according to your risk profile. Trailing stop method can be employed. When TP1 is hit, the stop-loss can be moved to entry, when TP2 is hit, the stop-loss can be moved to TP1 and when TP3 is hit the stop-loss can be moved to TP2.

Flat Trend - Vertex FX Indicator

Flat Trend is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator that gives excellent entry and exit signals.

The Flat Trend indicator is based on Parabolic SAR (PSAR) and the Average Directional Movement (ADX), Plus DI (PDI) and Minus DI (MDI) indicators.

The concept behind this indicator is that the PDI and MDI indicators determine the primary trend, and the PSAR confirms the trend. In the first step we calculate the Parabolic SAR using a step of 0.02 and a maximum value of 0.20. In the next step we calculate the ADX, PDI and MDI over the PERIOD number of bars.

The indicator comprises of four conditions - LIME, LIGHT GREEN, RED and PINK (SALMON).

LIME - When PSAR is below the Close and the PDI is greater than the MDI.

LIGHT GREEN - When PSAR is below the Close but the PDI is less than the MDI.

RED - When PSAR is above the Close and the PDI is less than the MDI.

PINK / SALMON - When the PSAR is above the Close but the PDI is greater than the MDI.

BUY - Enter BUY position at close of candle when indicator color is LIME. Place stop loss below nearest swing low. Exit position if indicator color turns PINK (SALMON), or alternatively keep a tight stop loss.

SELL - Enter SELL position at close of candle when indicator color is RED. Place stop loss above nearest swing high. Exit position if indicator color turns LIGHT GREEN, or alternatively keep a tight stop loss.

Fast Trendline Momentum Histogram - Vertex FX Indicator

FTLM (Fast Trendline Momentum Histogram) is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator that gives excellent entry and exit signals based on trend following methodology.

It is based on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) method using digital signal co-efficient for smoothing the price and trend movements. This indicator requires at least 45 bars since it applies the filter co-efficient to the most recent 45 bars.

The FTLM is calculated as the difference between the up-trending filtered co-efficient of the recent 45 bars and the down-trending filtered co-efficient of the recent 45 bars. Each close is multiplied by a co-efficient and then sum of these recent 45 closes is added to derive the FTLM.

When this difference is increasing the histogram color is BLUE, whereas when it is decreasing then the histogram color is RED.

The concept is that the sideways price movements cancel each other out, and only the core trend direction remains in the calculation. When the trend direction has an upward bias, down-trend signals are filtered out, and when the trend direction has a downward bias, the up-trend signals are filtered out.

This indicator has a faster response than the STLM (Slow Trend line Momentum Histogram) as it requires half the number of bars as compared to STLM. This indicator is useful for short-term trends, whereas STLM is useful for long-term trends.

BUY - Enter BUY position when indicator histogram color has turned BLUE from RED and is below zero. Do not open position if candle has gap-up opening. Stop loss can be placed at the nearest swing low.

SELL - Enter SELL position when indicator histogram color has turned RED from BLUE and is above zero. Do not open position if candle has gap-down opening. Stop loss can be placed at the nearest swing high.

FTLM-S - Vertex FX Indicator

FTLM-S (Fast Trend line Momentum Slow Trend line Momentum) is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator that gives excellent entry and exit signals based on trend following methodology based on the combination of FTLM and STLM indicators.

It is based on Digital Signal Processing method using digital signal co-efficient for smoothing the price and trend movements. This indicator requires at least 92 bars since it applies the filter co-efficient to the most recent 92 bars.

The STLM is calculated as the difference between the up-trending filtered co-efficient of the recent 92 bars and the down-trending filtered co-efficient of the recent 92 bars. Each close is multiplied by a co-efficient and then sum of these recent 92 closes is added to derive the STLM. This value is then smoothed over the recent FTLM period (45 bars).

This value is then smoothed over half period of FTLM (22 bars).

The STLM is represented in BLUE whereas the FTLM is represented as RED.

BUY - Enter BUY when both STLM (BLUE) and FTLM (RED) are moving upwards and preferably if both are below 0.

SELL - Enter SELL when both STLM (BLUE) and FTLM (RED) are moving downwards and preferably if both are above 0.

Guppy - - Vertex FX Indicator

Guppy is a powerful Vertex F X client side V T L indicator in the family of trend-following indicators that provides precise BUY and SELL signals for trading.
The Guppy indicator is comprised of 6 Moving Averages with periods ranging from very fast to medium to capture the trend over a wider spectrum.
In the first step we calculate the six moving averages for the specified Moving Average type (M A TYPE) and specified price field (PRICE FIELD).
When the candle closes above all the six Moving Averages, a BUY signal is triggered, whereas if the price closes below all the six Moving Averages, a SELL signal is triggered.
The concept behind the Guppy indicator is that when a trend is formed it must be confirmed over a range of moving averages. This eliminates whipsaws, sideways movements and noise. When all the moving averages are moving in one direction, and the price overtakes the moving average in the direction of the trend it implies that the trend is strong and confirmed.
On the contrary, when the trend is not strong, the slower Moving Averages do not confirm with the faster Moving Averages, and therefore the false trend signals are eliminated.
BUY - Enter BUY trade when Guppy indicator BUY (BLUE) arrow is displayed at candle close. Do not enter BUY trade if candle has gap up opening.
SELL - Enter SELL trade when Guppy indicator SELL (RED) arrow is displayed at candle close. Do not enter SELL trade if candle has gap down opening.

HMA Color - Vertex FX Indicator

HMA Color (Harmonic Moving Average) is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator that provides adaptive Moving Average based on the harmonic patterns algorithm.
Harmonic patterns are a powerful tool to uncover hidden trends. The Harmonic Moving Average is a composite average calculated over the main HMA_PERIOD, the half HMA_PERIOD and the square-root of the HMA_PERIOD.
In the first step, we calculate the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) of the full harmonic period, HMA_PERIOD. In the second step, we calculate the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) of the half harmonic period, which is HMA_PERIOD / 2. Finally we calculate the third HMA component, which is the EMA of the square-roof harmonic period, which is SQRT(HMA_PERIOD).
The full harmonic EMA is subtracted from twice the value of the half harmonic EMA. This value is then compared with the square-root HMA. In an uptrend, the square-root HMA is considered, whereas in a down-trend the difference is considered. This forms the basis of the HMA indicator.

When the price closes above the indicator value, the indicator color is set to GREEN and when the price closes below the indicator value, the indicator color is set to RED.
BUY - Enter BUY position at close of candle when the indicator value is GREEN. Do not open BUY position if candle has gap-up opening. Stop Loss can be placed below the nearest swing low.
SELL - Enter SELL position at candle close when the indicator value is RED. Do not open SELL position if candle has gap-down opening. Stop Loss can be placed above the nearest swing low.
