ADX CROSS - VertexFX Indicator

ADX cross is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator which provides precise entry and exit signals. This indicator is based on the Directional Movement indicator - namely, plus DI (+DI), minus DI (-DI) and the ADX components.
The concept behind the ADX Crosses indicator is that the +DI and -DI are representatives of the downtrend and uptrend components of the price respectively. When these components cross each other decisively we can safely assume that the market is moving (and will continue to move) in the direction of the dominant trend.
In trending markets, the +DI and -DI move in opposite directions. When +DI starts moving upwards steadily, the -DI component starts falling steadily. When they crossover, it is a clear indication that the trend has sustained and will continue to do so.
In the first step we calculate the ADX, +DI and the -DI components for the ADX_PERIOD bars.
If the previous +DI is above the previous -DI, and the current +DI is below the current -DI, a BUY signal is triggered. If the previous +DI is below the previous -DI, and the current +DI is above the current -DI, a SELL signal is triggered.
BUY - Enter BUY trade when a BUY arrow is displayed on the previous candle. Avoid opening BUY trade if current candle has opened gap up, or if price has deviated too far from the previous candle closing price.
SELL - Enter SELL trade when a SELL arrow is displayed on the previous candle. Avoid opening SELL trade if current candle has opened gap down, or if price has deviated too far from the previous candle closing price.

BBMACD- VertexFX Indicator

BBMACD_v2 is a handy VertexFX client side VTL indicator that displays the Bollinger Bands and the MACD indicators scaled in a single indicator window.
This indicator is useful because it presents the MACD values, Bollinger Bands and the difference between the moving average in a single indicator window giving us an excellent side-by-side comparison of all three important trend and cycle indicators.
This indicator consists of six components which are displayed in the single indicator window.
GOLD - The upper and the lower Bollinger Bands. The upper value is calculated by subtracting the center band of the Bollinger Bands from the upper band of the Bollinger Bands.
RED - The MACD signal indicator. It is the MACD_SIGNAL_PERIOD candle SMA of the difference derived by subtracting the MACD_SLOW_PERIOD candle SMA from the MACD_FAST_PERIOD candle SMA.
AQUA - The trend indicator. The trend indicator is calculated by subtracting the TREND_PERIOD candle SMA of the Median price from BB_PERIOD candle SMA of the Median Price.
BLUE - The rising MACD indicator value denoting bullishness.
WHITE - The falling MACD indicator value denoting bearishness.
This signal does not provide any trading signals. It should be used in conjunction with other indicators to determine the market trend and the strength of the trend.

Bbsqueeze - VertexFX Indicator

Bbsqueeze is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL oscillators that gives excellent buy and sell entries in cyclical markets.
As the name suggests, this indicator is comprised of Bollinger Bands (BB), Keltner Channels (KC) and Average True Range (ATR) indicators.
The concept behind the indicator is to capture the turning points in cyclical markets and the strength of the trend. The magnitude of the indicator is the strength of the trend, and the change in direction indicates the market turning point.
In the first step, we calculate the Simple Moving Average over the recent BB_PERIOD bars of the Close price. In the next step, we calculate the Average True Range and the Standard Deviation of the Close price over the KELTNER_PERIOD bars. Then, we calculate the Linear Regression of the Simple Moving Average calculated in the first step, over the BB_PERIOD bars.
The indicator value is the difference between standard deviation and the Linear Regression multiplied by the Average True Range.
BUY - Enter BUY when the indicator has turned maroon and is below the zero level.
SELL - Enter SELL when the indicator has turned dark red and is above the zero level.

DayImpulse - VertexFX Indicator

DayImpulse is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator that gives excellent entry and exit signals.
The main GOLD line is calculated as the cumulative sum of the difference between the Close and Open of each candle over the recent PERIOD candles and is expressed in points.
The signal BLUE line is calculated as the difference between the Close and Open of each candle and expressed in points. The average WHITE line is the Simple Moving Average over MA_PERIOD candles of the main GOLD line.

The concept behind the DayImpulse indicator is that the relationship between Open and Close prices exhibit deterministic behavior in trending markets. In an up trending market, the Close price is higher than the Open price most of the times. Hence the main indicator is rising. When the uptrend stalls, the Open and Close prices exhibit in deterministic behavior, and hence the indicator moves sideways or downwards indicating an end of the trend.
In a down trending market, the Close price is lower than the Open price most of the times. Hence the main indicator is falling. When the uptrend stalls, the Open and Close prices exhibit in deterministic behavior, and hence the indicator moves sideways or starts moving upwards indicating an end of the trend.
BUY - Enter BUY trade when GOLD line is below the BLUE line, and both lines are below zero. The GOLD line must be rising for at least 2 candles.
SELL - Enter SELL trade when the GOLD line is above the BLUE line, and both lines are above zero. The GOLD line must be falling for at least 2 candles.

EMA CROSSOVER SIGNAL - VertexFX Indicator

EMA CROSSOVER SIGNAL is a powerful trending indicator that provides precise entry and exit signals based upon the Exponential Moving Averages.

As the name suggests, this indicator has two components - the fast moving Exponential Moving (Average calculated using MA_FAST period), and the slow moving Exponential Moving Average
calculated using the MA_SLOW period.
The BUY signal is triggered when the fast moving EMA crosses above the slow moving EMA. Similarly, the SELL signal is triggered when the fast moving EMA crosses below the slow moving EMA. The concept behind this indicator is that the fast moving EMA responds faster to the trends as compared to the slower EMA. Hence, as the market is rising, the faster EMA will move upwards earlier than the slower EMA, and thus a BUY signal is generated. When the trend weakens, both EMAs are nearly identical and hence the market has reached exhaustion.
When the price starts falling down, the fast moving EMA once again responds faster to this fall, and goes below the slow EMA and a SELL signal is generated.
BUY - Enter BUY trade when BUY arrow is displayed at the close of the candle. Do not enter trade if a gap-up is observed. Place the stop-loss slightly below the nearest swing low.
SELL - Enter SELL trade when SELL arrow is displayed at the close of the candle. Do not enter the trade if a gap-down is observed. Place the stop-loss slightly above the nearest swing high.

Laguere Minus Di - VertexFX Indicator

Laguerre Minus Di is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator that generates only SELL signals. It identifies bearishness in the markets and thereby provides timing for SELL signals.
The Laguerre Minus DI (Laguerre -DI) and its complement, the Laguerre Plus DI (Laguerre +DI) are based upon the Average Directional Index (ADX) indicators, and the PDI (Plus Directional Movement Index) and the MDI (Minus Directional Movement Index) components.
In the first step, we calculate the ADX, the PDI (Plus DI) and the MDI (Minus DI) components of the ADX over the PERIOD bars. In the next step we use the Laguerre digital filter method to smooth the Minus DI component using the GAMMA smoothing components.
The Laguerre RSI is calculated by dividing the sum of up (positive) changes in the Minus DI by the sum of the down (negative) changes in the Minus DI over the PERIOD number of bars. The Minus DI component of the ADX is a strong indicator of bearishness. By using a Laguerre RSI filter on this Minus DI and smoothing it over the recent PERIOD bars using the GAMMA smoothing constant, it eliminates the lag and provides excellent SELL signals.
When the market is rising, the indicator is falling since the MDI component is falling. When the market starts stalling and moves sideways at the end of its bullish moves, the indicator level rests at the zero level. Finally, when the market starts falling, the MDI increases, which in turn causes the indicator to rise in value.
BUY - This indicator does not provide BUY trades. It provides only SELL trades.
SELL - Enter SELL trade when the indicator value has risen above 0 after having stayed at zero level for atheist two candles. Do not enter SELL trade if candle has opened with a gap-down.

Laguerre plus Di - VertexFX Indicator

Laguerre plus Di is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL indicator that generates BUY only signals. It identifies bullishness in the markets and thereby provides timing for BUY signals.

The Laguerre plus DI (Laguerre +DI) and its complement, the Laguerre minus DI (Laguerre -DI) are based upon the Average Directional Index (ADX) indicators, and the PDI (Plus Directional Movement Index) and the MDI (Minus Directional Movement Index) components.

The Plus DI component of the ADX is a strong indicator of bullishness. By using a Laguerre RSI filter on this Plus DI and smoothing it over the recent PERIOD bars using the GAMMA smoothing constant, it eliminates the lag and provides excellent BUY signals.

When the market is falling, the indicator is falling since the PDI component is falling. When the market starts stalling and moves sideways at the end of its bearish moves, the indicator level rests at the zero level. BUY - Enter BUY trade when the indicator value has risen above 0 after having stayed at zero level for at least two candles. Do not enter BUY trade if candle has opened with a gap-up.

SELL - This indicator does not provide SELL trades. It provides only BUY trades.

RBCI Histogram– VertexFX Indicator

RBCI (Range Bound Channel Index) Histogram is a histogram based upon the Fast Adaptive Trendline (FATL) and Slow Adaptive Trend line (SATL) indicators, and useful for determining market turning points.
In Digital Signal Processing theory, prices are considered to be based of two components - the signal component - which is the main trend, and the noise component - which is the whipsaws and sideways movements. The RBCI indicator attempts to eliminate the noise component and refine the main trend component. The close of each candle is multiplied by a filter smoothing co-efficient, and the sum of this value is calculated over the recent 80 bars to derive the RBCI histogram indicator value. These smoothing co-efficient are weighted based on digital filter probabilities.
However, unlike the basic RBCI indicator, the values are further smoothed over 25 bars and this difference is presented as the RBCI Histogram.
RBCI Histogram requires at least 80 bars since it is based upon FATL and SATL which require 55 bars. Further smoothing of 25 bars is performed hence the total number of bars required is 80. It is calculated by subtracting SATL from FATL. Prices approach the extreme range when RBCI its local maximum (or minimum) price. This implies that RBCI is an excellent indicator that can be used to determine the extreme ranges, and the levels from which the markets can turn. It is a zero based unbounded oscillator. A rising value of RBCI indicates an uptrend, whereas a falling value indicators a downtrend.
The difference between the RBCI and its 25 bar moving average is represented as the RBCI histogram. When the indicator value is falling, the color of histogram is displayed in RED. When the value of the indicator is rising, the color of the histogram is displayed in GREEN.

BUY - Enter BUY position after indicator has turned GREEN for at least two candles and the indicator value is below 0. Do not enter BUY trade if price has gap-up opening.
SELL - Enter SELL position after indicator has turned RED for at least two candles and the indicator value is above 0. Do not enter SELL trade if price has gap-down opening.

RD-Forecast - VertexFX Indicator

RD-Forecast is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL oscillator that provides zero-lag identification of market cycles and turning points. Because of its low lag, it is often called as the forecast oscillator.

It is based upon the concept of weighted smoothing and regression.
In the first step, we calculate the various regression and smoothing constants based upon the regression period T3 and the smoothing constant B.
In the second step, we calculate the Linear Weighted Moving average of the closing prices over the regression period. The nearest candle has the highest weight multiplier, and the farthest candle has the lowest weight multiplier.
Now, we calculate the main BLUE indicator value by smoothing it six times using the smoothing co-efficients e1, e2, e3, e4, e5 and e6 calculated in step one.
The signal RED indicator is calculated by smoothing the main BLUE indicator, using the smoothing constant of B.

The concept behind this indicator is that, by giving a higher weightage to the current price over the previous and farther prices, we are able to identify the trend with higher accuracy (lower error factor) using linear regression. Using the smoothing co-efficient e1, e2, e3, e4, e5 and e6 , the lag is eliminated and we get a better quality of the signal.

BUY - Enter BUY when main BLUE line closes above the signal RED line. Both lines must be below zero level. Do not enter trade if candle has opened with a gap-up.

SELL - Enter SELL when main BLUE line closes below the signal RED line. Both lines must be above zero level. Do not enter trade if candle has opened with a gap-down.

SAR Oscillator - VertexFX Indicator

SAR Oscillator, as the name suggests is a powerful VertexFX client side VTL oscillator that provides excellent trend-following entry and exit signals.
It is a bounded oscillator with the zero-line at the center. The concept behind the SAR oscillator is that as the market is bullish, the parabolic signal is smooth and it follows the price closely from below. As the market turns neutral, the parabolic signal is above the price hence indicator bearishness. At this point it is advisable to exit bullish positions and enter bearish positions. Now, as the market starts falling, the parabolic signal again becomes smooth and it follows the price closely from above. Finally, when the bearish trends ends, the parabolic signal switches above the price indicating an end of the bearish trend and start of the bullish trend.

In the first step, we calculate the Parabolic SAR (Parabolic Stop-And-Reverse) indicator value.
In the second step, we calculate the difference between the Close price and the Parabolic SAR value. This difference is the indicator value.

BUY - Enter BUY when the SAR oscillator has bottomed out below and has risen for atleast two candles. Do not enter trade if candle has gap-up opening.
SELL - Enter SELL when the SAR oscillator has topped out above zero and has fallen for atleast two candles. Do not enter trade has gap-down opening.
