Brisbane being struck by 107,000 bolts of lightning

Australia has been experiencing freak weather in recent weeks and lightning was seen spectacularly flashing east of Kangaroo Point in Brisbane on Sunday night. This stunning picture is made up of 33 individual lightning strike photos, compiled and flattened in Photoshop

It was like a scene from War of the Worlds as one man was struck by lightning during the ferocious storms in Queensland’s southeast

On Sunday roads were blocked for hours by fallen trees and power lines after the spectacular storms in Brisbane

Wild weather hit both Sydney and Melbourne earlier this month as the freakish conditions continued
