Another crypto exchange, KuCoin, also experienced "temporary disruptions". The disruption was due to an AWS outage affecting services across the Tokyo data centre...
Japanese Bonds Stir Unease as Bitcoin Recovers From Last Week's Tariff Panic
Trading in financial markets feels like dodging a barrage of stones, each demanding constant vigilance and agility. Just as bitcoin (BTC) and traditional risk assets stabilize after last week's Trump tariff-led panic, unsettling movements in Japanese bonds emerge, throwing a spanner into the mix. The yield on the 30-year Japanese government bonds rose to 2.88% early Tuesday, the highest since 2004, registering a nearly 60 basis point increase in one week. The yield differential between the 30- and five-year bonds, representing the premium investors demand to hold ultra-long bonds over five-year bonds, has widened to a nearly two-decade high. The 10-year yield has bounced roughly 30 basis points to 1.37% in one week but stays well below...

Dogecoin (DOGE) shed 3% while bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH) remained flat in the past 24 hours as tariff concerns gradually subsided among traders, though fears of a U.S. recession increased in betting markets. “Prominent financial figures have started to warn that the U.S. is heading into an imminent recession, with betting markets placing 40% to 60% odds of one happening in 2025. According to the IRS, the average tax refund for the 2025 season is $3,271 as of March — a bigger windfall than many taxpayers will see all year. America’s 24/7 consumer culture offers no shortage of ways to blow it all for those who just can’t resist the temptation of shiny things. However, many others will put their refunds to better use by using the money to pay down debt, build an emergency fund or invest — and that last one is where things get interesting. A new study from the consumer research platform Attest found that nearly one in four taxpayers plan to use their refund to buy cryptocurrency, with millennials being most likely to convert their repayment from Uncle Sam to digital tokens. But is crypto investing a smart move...

© Reuters $9,000,000,000 in Bitcoin (BTC): Saylor's Strategy Is Working Once more, Michael Saylor’s Bitcoin playbook is demonstrating its tenacity. At this point, Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings have grown to an incredible $44.86 billion, locking in a 25.85% profit, or an incredible $9.2 billion in gains. The strategy seems to be working even with some recent volatility on the larger cryptocurrency market, as there are currently over 528,000 BTC under management and an average purchase price of $67,485. The performance graph shows Strategy’s strategic timing in addition to its belief in Bitcoin. By making large purchases during the 2020, 2022 and late 2023 dips, the company was able to drastically reduce its average cost basis. Even...

This is achieved by concealing transaction details and using technologies like ring signatures and stealth addresses to hide transaction amounts and the identities of senders and receivers, making transactions untraceable.
