Crypto exchange Binance briefly stopped allowing users to withdraw from the platform on Tuesday due to an issue involving an Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centre. Binance reported that withdrawals were suspended "to keep safe", before announcing that withdrawals had resumed. The suspension lasted around 23 minutes.

AWS's service dashboard indicated a "connectivity issue" that affected its Tokyo cloud region, which was resolved shortly after.

Another crypto exchange, KuCoin, also experienced "temporary disruptions". KuCoin indicated that their technical team was working on a fix, assuring users that assets remained secure and all data intact. The disruption was due to an AWS outage affecting services across the Tokyo data centre.

Crypto exchange MEXC reported that users might experience issues such as "abnormal candlestick charts" and "delays in asset transfers for spot trading" due to the AWS disruption. They assured users that assets on MEXC remain secure and promised a compensation plan for any losses incurred.

The Chinese government is likely to add fiscal stimulus to bolster growth, focusing on expanding domestic demand and supporting businesses and households. It is expected that the People’s Bank of China will cut policy rates and the amount of cash lenders must reserve, with at least 30-40 basis points of rate cuts anticipated.
