Radeon X1250 IGP (code name: RS690)
RS690 is seen in the wild as Radeon X1200", "X1250" or "X1270"
(plus a few subtle variations like 690M, M for Mobile/laptops)
2D engine as same as the R300/400series
The 6xx series, doesn't include dedicated 2D acceleration hardware,
Instead, the command processor (cp) emulates most of the 2D commands using precompiled shaders on the 3D engine
3D engine is based on X700 Radeon R400 PCIe series,
Display engine like CRTs, Output Controls, PLLs(PhasedLockedLoops, etc.) is avivo based (like r5xx and above)
RS690 modesetting is same as the R500 series.
The Radeon X1250 platform consists of an RS600 Northbridge and SB600 Southbridge.
Radeon X1250 can handle up to 512MB of shared system memory. Most optimum is 256MB.
It supports a maximum resolution of 2048x1536.
It supports more than 1 display outputs( keep in mind that only 1 digital output can be active at anytime)
Fabrication technology: 80nm
Bus Interface: Onboard PCIe
Max Memory: 512MB
Max Core Clock : 400 MHz
Supports:
DirectX 9.0b
OpenGL 2.0
AVIVO(Advanced Video In Video Out) (means hardware video decoding acceleration)
MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and WMV-9 videos are all accelerated in hardware
Caveat: MPEG-4 acceleration is not completely in hardware & depends significantly on software.
Pipelines
Number of Vertex shader : 0 (i.e CPU needs to handle vertex shading)
Number of Pixel shader : 4
Number of Texture mapping unit : 4
Number of Render Output unit: 4
